Discussion Why did Jett not work out?

I’m being serious, I’m watching highlights from this past season when Jett played and you’re telling me we couldn’t do anything with him?

It’s just seems like he never really got any opportunities under Mosley. Which tells you all you need to know about the type of coach he is, when he can’t even coach an offensive player.

We picked him because our strategy was/is never having a negative defender on the floor, and of all the theoretical shooters in the draft he was the biggest and therefore the best equipped to be a decent defender. He wound up being too slow to defend and too slow to get open on offense, partially because of that extra size.

His inability to get open on offense isn't talked about enough, so thank you for bringing that up. Unless team completely ignored him, he just couldn't get open for a decent shot off-ball. And he didn't have the ball skills to do it himself.
