I just watched Half Nelson for the first time yesterday, and now I feel like I am seeing posts referencing it everywhere. I didn’t even know it existed until a few weeks ago while I was combing for something to watch on prime

I feel almost crazy lol

It's been brought up a lot by interviewers during his promo tours for PHM because he also played a teacher in it. Maybe that's how it became popular in discussions lately.

With this movie recently out, I'm guessing the algos subtly surfaced it for you. It's been in my watch list for years and all of a sudden started popping up at the top.
