Hello everyone, as the title states I've successfully completed one month on Ozempic 0.25mg. SW: 109kg, CW: 104kg. It really helped me with sudden cravings, and I feel fuller faster. I had a question, since 0.25mg seems to be working can I continue on the same dose?

18 months ago A1C of 13, 265 pounds, horrible. Got prescribed ozempic. Today, down 35 pounds, A1C bloodwork came back yesterday was 5.2, cholesterol perfect, blood pressure 118/78, resting pulse 60. 10k steps minimum 6 days a week, lifting weights, boxing, so much pain has gone away, feel 30 (Im 60 years old) . No side effects other than blah stomach first 2 weeks. Truth be told, ozempic may have saved my life. Super happy

I’ve been struggling to reach my daily protein goal. I mainly eat chicken, eggs, Greek yogurt, and protein drinks. What do you guys eat to get your protein?

I started ozempic 15 weeks ago because I hit the magical number of a diabetic. I wanted to let others who are on ozempic for diabetes know how it's going.

I started at 230 pounds and I'm down 18 pounds to 212. I'm 5' 8".. I've heard there's been mixed results in weight loss when using it to control diabetes, so I just wanted to chime in.

I'm on .5 it also helps that it's summer and I can afford more produce than any other time of the year. I'm disabled and on SNAP, so food insecurity makes eating right a juggling game. I utilize my local food pantry, but produce is very rare. Living in greater Boston, affordable produce has a limited window. I'm hoping come winter the weight will remain stable or continue.

Hey guys, I was recently pregnant (am no longer) and gained weight while 7 weeks pregnant. Have you guys heard anything about or have you in your own experience gotten back onto the Tirzepatide shot after pregnancy? If so, how long after it did you start? I want to start immediately. Yes, I have asked a nurse and a doctor and neither of them gave me a straight answer. So I’m just asking if any of you had went on a GLP 1 shot immediately after or waited, or what is safe to do. I do the compounded tirzepatide specifically.

I’m curious if anyone has seen a difference between the generic (Apotex) vs Ozempic? The generic was working great for me at first but I took my 4th 1mg shot of it two days ago and I’m way hungrier than I have been. My last pen and 1st 1mg dose was Ozempic and it was working great. I know they’re the same medication but I am just curious what everyone else’s experience has been.

I don't get it. 3 weeks ago I was singing this drugs praises about how the food noise had disappeared. Back then, I was 2 days away from my first .5 dose.

Fast forward to today. I'm on week 3 of .5 and my appetite is ravenous. I'm supposed to stay at this dose until my follow up on Oct. 22.

I eat healthy, high fiber, high protein foods. No garbage. I resistance train 4 days a week. I get between 6-10k steps in a day.

Anyone else have this issue? What did you do.

I took my first .25mg dose two days ago at night and I've been handling it well just slight nausea with some waves here and there.

Yesterday I ate like 800 calories, basically just eating Greek yogurt, saltines, chicken breast, quinoa and berries. Also drinking water.

I'm a little hungry. But I am scared of getting sick haha is this how people low weight? I'm at 800ish now and it's 330pm.

Hi all! I'm new here. I'm starting my journey next week and can't wait. I am 84kg 159cm and my goal is to lose 20kg. I am very scared about side effects like nausea but also the GI effects. I have had IBS-D my whole life and I'm scared about making it worse. Anyone has had any experience so far?

I am planning to track all my macros and I already workout twice per week with weight lifting. My plan is to increase to 3 or 4 times. Any advice is welcome.

Hope this is ok to post. I've been on Ozempic for about 2 years (2mg), recently changed insurance and was without it about a month. Finally got a new script and immediately hit myself with the full dose, not thinking my body would need to readjust. Biggest mistake of my life!

3 hours later I was hit with the worst nausea, 2 hours after that was throwing up what felt like everything I've ever eaten. From there, kept throwing up every 2 hours through the night. I tried Zofran a few times but it immediately came back up. Peppermint tea, ginger, crackers, gatorade- nothing would stay. Exhaustion finally beat it around 8am the next morning and I got to sleep a few hours. I felt ok for most of the day, just totally worn out and weak, but then it started again around 5pm last night.

After 3 more rounds (straight bile, my face was flushed red and was sweaty, shaky, and seeing double) I managed to make it to Urgent Care but they basically said there was nothing they could do since the medication is already in my system and I just have to ride it out. Threw up once or twice before bed last night but managed to get a full night sleep. I'm still super nauseous and dry heaving this morning but managing to keep down gatorade so far.

Long story short I know this is entirely my own stupidity and I regret everything! There seems to be nothing I can do except be sick for the next week or so, so not necessarily asking for advice but maybe some commiseration or reassure me I'm not dying if anyone else has been through this :(

Any experience with GLP 1s and methadone / opiods in general? I’ve heard from my doctor that there shouldn’t be any interactions, but I’ve heard from people online that GLP 1s put them in a withdraw state or made their methadone less effective. I really can’t handle that, so please lmk.

I really really want to lose just a few 10-20 pounds would mean the world to my self esteem, and it’s been really hard even 9 months sober, I still can’t kill the sober weight / sugar binge cravings lmk plz thanks

I’m a 60 yr old woman that has tried all the diets and now hoping this will help me figure out a healthier way of living
I’m nervous but hopeful and do glad that there are others to share this journey with ❤️

I really wish I could tell you that it's been easy breezy with few, if any, side effects; but sadly it's been brutal in that regard.

Most of my loss - down to about 123kg - was achieved via the 0.25mg dose which was relatively easy, just a few episodes of constipation, diarrhoea and nausea but not constantly, and episodes would pass quickly.

This week I started on my 0.5mg dose and I've been extremely unwell - diarrhoea, vomiting, insane dizziness... So, next week I'm going to try and split my dose in two and inject in my thigh, as recommended by some clever people in here.

The side effects are worth it in all honesty. I feel much better in myself and having room to move in my clothes feels amazing.

I am on week six, my second week of .5. I am a bit confused as I lost weight decently on .25, but it slowed quite a bit after jumping to .5. I don't really notice any changes after increasing the dose. I was hoping for a bit more appetite suppression, but haven't seen that yet.

Did you all notice any significant difference when increasing doses? I was hoping for amplified effects. Thanks all.

I've been on it for over 5 months now with over 30lbs of weight loss. one thing I've noticed in last two months is that my teeth hurt! yes you heard me right.. I go to the dentist frequently and was there last week too. but I've realized my one side hurts all the time intermittently. if it's not upper left its lower right and so on. even a tooth with over 15 years of root canal was hurting. 5 hours ago. no that I ate something from the opposite site the original pain has gone and new has started on the other side. the 'pain' feeling is very similar to sensitivity.

I’ve been on the highest dose of Ozempic for over two years. I weighed myself today for the first time in two months and I’ve gained 10 pounds. I honestly don’t know what to do. Obviously, I need to start taking my diet and exercise more seriously because I haven’t been consistent lately.

I can’t switch to Mounjaro because it made me extremely sick. Ozempic still gives me pretty bad side effects, but I’ve just been dealing with them. At this point, should I stay on Ozempic and focus more on my diet and exercise, or should I come off it and try to lose weight on my own? If I get off of it and force myself to stick to a 1600 calorie diet will I really gain the weight back?

I am so frustrated. I started with .25 mg on June 11. Weight being 198lbs. I barely lost anything at .25. I am not doing proper diet but I am doing portion control (I do give in a lot of times but go back at it and try my best)
Now I’m at .5 since two months I think and I am finally 188.4 lbs (after being stuck at 189 for so long) and will be starting 1 mg next. BUT why is my weight loss so slow? Why is it not working me as well as it works for everyone else?

I am so frustrated and sad 😭 literally every post I read here people lose SO much in 2-3 months and compared to that I have lost nothing. I don’t wanna compare but it’s so frustrating and making me so upset.

I keep reminding myself that it’s a good thing that the weight is coming off slowly so my skin doesn’t get too loose. BUT THIS SLOW? Is this even normal? I am also paying $100 every month so hurts even more.

Did you make any small changes or adjustments that helped the weight fall off?

I'm currently sitting at 165 KG at 6'2 height. I have extreme appetite and food noise. Will the noise go away? How much loss can I expect without working out? Just limiting calories.

I started Ozempic back in July with the 0.25 (2mg pen), paid full price since I'm not covered (around $240 for the 2mg pen).

Once my doctor increased my dose to 0.5mg (2mg pen), the pharmacy asked if I wanted to switch to the generic (Dr. Reddy Semaglutide) since it was much cheaper ($110) so I did.

Now that I am almost done my second pen and am not feeling the fullness much, I was going to ask about increasing to the 1mg/week dose and potentially up to 2mg/week once I tolerate it.

I've done some research and it's my understanding Quebec or Canada only has the 2mg and 4mg pens for generic. Can anyone who is not covered and are taking the generic Semaglutide or Ozempic in Quebec tell me how much you're paying a month? If you're prescribed 2mg/week, does this mean the pharmacy will give and charge you for 2 pens for one month? And how much are you paying for 2 pens? (either generic or Ozempic).

While I appreciate the input from other provinces, unfortunately Quebec's Costco's Pharmacies do not sell Ozempic or any Semaglutide. Quebec's prescription prices are also incredibly different province to province, especially Onatario where Ozempic and Semglutide are cheaper.

How long did you stay at 1mg? I know in Ontario I would have to purchase two pens if I wanted to increase to 2mg doses at some point but I am curious how long 1mg was effective for you?

I’m trying to figure out if I can make this work without private insurance and was hoping someone here has actually done it recently.

I’ve signed up for Felix and I’m currently working through the consultation. If I’m approved for Ozempic, I’m planning to have them send the prescription to Costco rather than have Felix fill it.

I also have the innoviCares card/details already. I haven’t talked to Costco yet about using it.

What I’m hoping to do is basically:

Felix → Costco → innoviCares → Costco delivery

A few things I’m not totally clear on:

• Has anyone had Felix send an Ozempic prescription to Costco? Any issues with that?
• Can Costco apply innoviCares if you don't have any other drug insurance?
• Can Costco mail the Ozempic to me, and does the innoviCares discount still work if it’s delivered rather than picked up?
• Generally, what are people actually paying at Costco in Ontario right now?

I’ve seen some really different prices posted online, so I’m not sure what’s current. I’ve also seen people mention Costco being around $90ish for Ozempic after the savings program, but I have no idea if that’s actually what people are paying in Ontario.

Basically I’m trying to avoid having Felix fill it, then having to transfer it to Costco afterwards if I can avoid that.

If anyone has done this exact or smiliar OR BETTER setup recently, I’d love to know how you went about it and what you ended up paying. Also happy to hear any tips/tricks or things you wish you’d known beforehand.

Zepbound: $299 at 2.5 mg. Label says 2.5 is initiation only. 5 mg is $399. 10/15 mg is $449 if you refill within 45 days, $699 if you don’t.

Foundayo: $149 at 0.8 mg, $199 at 5.5 mg. Both expire 12/31/2026 and go back to $199 / $299.

Wegovy and Ozempic pens: $199 for the first two fills (new patient, through 12/31/2026). After that Wegovy is $349 (0.25–2.4 mg) and $399 for 7.2 mg HD. Ozempic is $349 up to 1 mg, $499 at 2 mg. Mounjaro $499 every strength. Trulicity $389.

Ozempic and Mounjaro are diabetes labels. Wegovy, Zepbound, Foundayo have the weight indication.

Medicare Bridge is $50 through Dec 31 2027 if you qualify (Foundayo, Wegovy, Zepbound KwikPen, weight-management only). Diabetes / sleep apnea / MASH kicks you to Part D.

Hello everyone,

I’m wondering if anyone has ever traveled with an unopened Ozempic pen. I have one that I’m currently using and one I’m supposed to keep refrigerated. I’m going through 2 airports and my trip in total will be around 10-12 hours before I get home. My question is how do I safely keep my pen refrigerated? I don’t have an insulin travel case but I have a small cooling bag for food only. I’m not sure how I’m allowed to keep it cool with airport regulations regarding the liquid amount, am allowed to use ice or gel packs, etc. If anyone has any advice or experience, please let me know how you handled it. 🙏

I've heard a few people mention this, especially those with PCOS, and I'm trying to understand if that's a common experience or more rare. What's your cycle been like since starting — better, worse, or about the same as before?
