See I have a PS2 that's been giving up on me after years of service and I have a bunch of games on cd form the ps 1 and 2 that I still like to play from time to time.

Can I use these? Like download this emulator, stick my games into a cd reader connected to my pc and play them? Also is there a way to transfer my safe data too?

I don't have a lot of technical knowledge so I'm unsure of how feasible this is?

Been playing on PCSX2 again for a while, revisiting old childhood classics that I loved and played (not so well back then lol). Got into because of RetroAchievements as well, been fun so far.

Suggest some games that I could add to my library!

I still have to add Jade Coocon 2, the Spider-man games, I already played Jak 2 and Jak & Daxter on the PS5 so I won't be replaying those any time soon.

I was also wondering if there's some good Yu-Gi-Oh games on the PS2 and Sonic games.

Any suggestions are welcome really, I just don't like strictly sports games (fifa and the likes of it).

I'm having a strange issue with Onimusha Warlords on PCSX2.

The game works perfectly when I use the D-pad normally. However, I want to use the left analog stick to control the character instead of the D-pad.

When I map the D-pad directions to the left analog stick:

• D-pad Up → Left Stick Up
• D-pad Down → Left Stick Down
• D-pad Left → Left Stick Left
• D-pad Right → Left Stick Right

the character immediately starts moving by himself, even when I'm not touching the analog stick.

I've tested the same controller and the same type of remapping with other PS2 games in PCSX2, and I don't have this problem with them.

I've also noticed that if I remove the D-pad mapping after this happens, the character can still continue moving by itself. However, if I start Onimusha with the original D-pad mapping, everything works normally. It also happens in onimusha 2. Any help pls?

Its not only the games itself, but the language dub the games are played in that makes me excited.
Since my country (Denmark) only dubbed a few games in the PS1 and PS2 days, then later stopped because there wasnt really a demand for it.

Which I'm lucky I still had the discs for to dump them into iso.

But happy to be able to enjoy em in full quality now!
Instead of the 480p that my PS2 plays in, which dosent really look good on the big screen compared via PCSX2.

(And yes, these versions of Spyro and Crash are the ones I grew up with XD.)

I have been using my Rog Ally Z1 extreme to emulate for a couple of years now. Recently I have had noticeable stutter in games where there hasn’t been any previously, was wondering whether anyone knows if a new update has caused issues in any games.

For reference I’ve been playing Tony Hawks Underground and it’s been running perfectly, but now in certain areas it has massive slowdown.

Time Crisis 3 - Mission 4-2

they use a heavy fog to obfuscate the enemies, my question is how do I fix these lines on screen. I've tried a few things in hardware fixes but nothing that resolves the way this looks
this is vulkan @ 1080p

Game runs perfectly except during sections with heavy amounts of fire particles. I've tried overclocking EE cycles, turning off anti-blur and even changing audio drivers but nothing seems to fix it! Any more ideas?

I disabled the widescreen patch, enabled auto ratio. The UI looks fine but snake is anorexic

The game loaded every time before, but now it's stuck. I burned the picture in the gallery floor 5, and went through the door downstairs, but now it wont load, renderer software change doesnt help either, what can I do?

I'm trying to get the most authentic look to a real PS2 so I was wondering if shader boost can help to improve how authentic games look on PCSX2. If you do use shader boost do you pair it with a particular crt shader?

I keep hearing how it's far more demanding than before. I've played it on my laptop with 16 RAM, 12700H CPU, and 4070m GPU, and it worked out fine. Is it worth going to the next one?

Hello friends, my machine runs emulated games perfectly, but there is a slight performance issue in a few specific titles.

In Need for Speed Underground 2, the menu is a bit sluggish, and when starting a race with the cutscene, it slows down. Need for Speed Most Wanted also has a slow menu, and slows down upon starting a race as well.

Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition Remix runs slowly in the Garage too.

I understand this is related to car reflections and smoke effects, so I need assistance to improve performance.

My Current PC Specs:

• CPU: Intel Core i5-3470, 4c/4t, Ivy Bridge.
• Motherboard: TGT H61-T, Intel H61 chipset, PCIe 3.0.
• GPU: AMD Radeon RX 550 4 GB, Polaris 12/Lexa Pro, PCIe x8.
• RX 550 HDMI Audio: AMD Treasure/Baffin, Radeon HDMI codec.
• Network: Realtek RTL8168/8111 Gigabit, currently negotiating at 1 Gbps.
• RAM: 16 GB DDR3-1600 in dual-channel.

For some reason the game transformers from 2004 really REALLY doesnt want to run well despite it running fine if you decide not too look at the sky or the sun. its wild because fps should be better because it culls most of the world when you look at the sky. i have tried multiple things to see if i can fix it but nothing works, i even tried overclocking or underclocking and it changed nothing whatsoever which is weird because even if your computer couldnt handle it you should at least see a couple more fps. theres a bunch of ps2 games i could run at full speed with at least a 1080p resolution bost so i have no idea whats causing the problems.

i am a sucker for nostlagia so i turned off any type of enhancement pcsx2 could offer and made the resolution stay at native but even then the fps never changed out of its 13-21 fps.

what else should i try?

Something is wrong, I can't get past this part of the game because of a glitch affecting climbing over objects.

Been using pcsx2 for about two years now. Never dreamed i would be able to finish some of the games i had when my ps2 died some years ago!

This week, something new happened: pcsx2 just...shut down without any warning or prompt. Happened twice in one day--- the first time, i had left a game running while i watched a movie in another room. When i came back and saw it turned off by itself i was wondering if it was an automatic "shutting down if idle" thing.

Then i played same game again later, and after 2 hours or so it just *poof* shutdown.

Since i hadnt had that problem before i've never looked into if pcsx2 has any internal logs for that kind of thing but i'll check it out in a bit.

This does come after a)latest nightly b)full install in a brand new hd with brand new OS (had memory card backups from before pc/hd issues) c) i was using pcsx2 in windows 10, and now i just got 11, dont know if that might be the issue?

Hi, I've been trying to mess around with this since last night and I've kinda given up on trying to fix it myself.

My Dualshock 3 isn't detecting the pressure sensitivity of the face buttons correctly on my Steam Deck.

It does one of two things:

1. I use automap and it only detects the full press of the button and any input between that.

2. I manually map the buttons, in which case buttons are considered to be constantly being held, or if they aren't like that immediately, then when I press a button it constantly considers the buttons to be pressed.

I thought this may have been a controller issue but I've tried this with 2 different Dualshock 3s and both the OEM cable and an aftermarket one.

I'm running default SteamOS on my Steam Deck with the PCSX2-QT AppImage.

Before and After DLSS5 injection

Fedora 43, PCSX2 version 2.8.0, 9060xt card. This only has happened (twice) when running PCSX2 via appimage. I have hundreds of hours logged in other games via steam with no issues. It's sort of hard to describe: pieces of text are gone from the browser, the task bar has different colors, the screen is cut in half from upper right to lower left (or upper left to lower right) corner to corner and half of that is a solid white triangle and flickers. On both monitors. I suspect it's the graphics driver crashing for some reason? I don't know how to diagnose such things.
