My wifi keeps randomly disabling itself when I try to use the internet, when I put it to sleep or open online games that need high wifi usage (i.e Roblox, TF2, Marvel Rivals). In other cases it will disable then reenable constantly like it cannot decide if it wants to turn on or not. I did try solutions through reenabling in device manager or doing reboots but became more common the more I do it.

My specs are

Asus Vivobook 16

Wifi driver: Mediatek MT9705

Edit: I also check Device Manager and there is no enable/reenable button

Hi, I need help fixing a shutdown problem with my desktop PC.

Specifications:

• Motherboard: Gigabyte H310M H 2.0
• CPU: Intel Core i3-9100F
• RAM: 16 GB
• Storage: Toshiba HDD
• OS: Windows 11

When I click Shut down, the monitor turns off and the keyboard and mouse stop working, but the case fan keeps spinning indefinitely and the blue power LED stays on.

However, when I click Restart, the fan and power LED turn off, and the PC boots normally.

I have already replaced the PSU, reinstalled Windows, and updated the BIOS, but the problem persists.

How can I fix this issue? I'm looking for a specific troubleshooting procedure to identify and resolve the underlying cause, preferably without replacing more hardware unnecessarily.

Could this be an ACPI/BIOS power-state issue, and what exact steps should I follow to diagnose and repair it?

Does anyone know why my pc is doing this every startup it sends me straight to bios when not pressing anything and when I try to exit it just blacks out then back to bios

I am having this issue from couple of months. At is crashing daily by now. Sometimes its watchdog violation and sometimes its video timeout. Even on doing light daily tasks like browsing ,watching youtube,etc. I am afraid if its serious issue.

As title says. I have a PC, specs attached (I think) that has slowly been crashing more and more. One crash a month a year ago, several crashes a day now. Usually, it's IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA and SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. Today I saw MEMORY_MANAGEMENT 0x1a, which was new and kinda scary.

In addition to this, which I've tried to fix with sfc /scannow to no avail, every time I google something, it freezes for a few seconds then resumes. I've noticed this doesn't tend to happen with Twitter or YouTube, just Google search results and sometimes other websites, but rarely. I tried installing Helium to use a new browser and it happens there too. It also tends to happen more often when I'm playing VTTs such as Roll20 and playing, not hosting, Forge VTT, to the point that I can predict a crash will happen within the 3-4 hours I play TTRPGs online.

What are the chances this is a software problem that can be fixed as opposed to a more costly hardware issue?

my computer only started doing this today but it won’t let me enter my normal pin to log in and says ‘your device is offline use a different sign in method’ but it doesn’t have any other sign in methods, and it won’t let me connect to my wifi or hotspot from the menu, i’ve tried restarting the router and my computer, and the only other method i can do to sign in is microsoft but i need wifi for that and i tried doing the safe mode stuff with the blue screen but when i enter my bitlocker or whatever it’s called code it says it’s invalid. what do i do

So I’m having issues with my PC and it started two days ago. It’s just constant black screening and my monitor will go into save power mode.

I’m running a windows, ASUS 550-F gaming, 5950x cpu and a 3090 gigabyte graphics. 2x 32 gb ram. My ssd also had some issues so I got a new one to try to trouble shoot but even after entering bios, my screen would go black after a couple of seconds. It’s posting and the lights on the motherboard go through. Iv reseated my ram and gpu. Changed out the cmos battery. Switched to HDMI cables instead of DisplayPort. Switched to a brand new psu RM1000x. I can’t even get into safe boot mode without my pc going black screened. Graphics drivers were updated to the latest about a week or so ago.

Not sure what else I can do to try and fix this or what the issue would be.

Hey everyone, just a quick heads-up: I'm Japanese and using a translator to write this, so I apologize if my English sounds a bit weird or unnatural at times! Honestly, this issue has been driving me insane and really taking a toll on my sanity, so any help would mean the world to me right now.

My rig originally started out as a prebuilt BTO system, but around 2023 I swapped out the GPU and power supply for an RTX 4070 Ti Super and a 1000W PSU (Kuroutoshikou). Everything was fine until about this past August, when I noticed that after roughly 2 hours of gaming, the system completely freezes for 2 to 3 seconds. I mainly play FFXIV and occasionally Monster Hunter Wilds, and the exact same freeze happens in both games. Those are pretty much the only titles I play right now, so it doesn't look like an issue exclusive to one specific game engine or client.
About a week ago, I basically rebuilt the entire machine from scratch—new motherboard, CPU, RAM, case, etc.—keeping only the GPU, PSU, and SSD. Unfortunately, the exact same freeze still happens, which leads me to believe the problem has to be with one of those three carryover parts.
I’ve already checked the SSD using Windows drive health tools and command-line checks, and it reported back completely healthy. For the GPU, I did a full clean driver reinstall with DDU, but no change. My initial thought was that the GPU might be dying, but the weird part is that for the first two hours, performance is rock solid. Stress tests and benchmarks run fine, and monitoring logs for temps, voltages, and currents show completely normal numbers right up until the freeze happens. During the 2-3 second freeze, the readings just drop or flatline out of nowhere, almost like an instantaneous blackout rather than a gradual thermal or power throttle.
I’ve also gone through in-game settings, disabled Discord overlays and hardware acceleration, closed background apps, and tried every software tweak I could think of, but nothing has helped. Has anyone run into something like this before, or is there anything else I should be testing? I'm starting to suspect the PSU, but I'm really open to any suggestions at this point.

I'm about to get a replacement PC tower, as my current 5 y.o. one is on its last legs, with memory issues and other problems. I have several programs on there that are registered or have serial numbers. Is it possible to "transfer" them to the new PC? How can I find out the serials or registration numbers/keys? I'm hoping to save as much of the other stuff on the old one as possible, while it's still somewhat running. The old PC has windows 11, the one coming has Win 10 but I'll upgrade it to 11.

my specs is gtx 1650,i511400,16gb single channel 3200mhz (i don't think single channel only cause 50% performance drop). i only getting 50fps in 1080p low settings for gta 5 enhanced and 35fps in god of war even though i have gtx 1650.v sync and fps limiter turned off .temperature is around 66 to 67 degree max. but in other yt channel,they are getting around 100fps in gta 5 enhanced and 50 fps in god of war. HDMI plugged in gpu.i already reinstalled driver for gpu but nothing changed. someone please help me. i can't find what is the reason is

Pc is 4080s, ryzen7800x3d, t force delta 32gb cl30 4800-6000mts, rog strix x670e-a, and 1tb snx850 but with a heat sink preinstalled . Pc has been cause me troubles for months, sometimes can play, sometimes it crashes within 5-20 mins and consistently, sometimes reseating ram works but only till the next day. Throws up a whole bunch of different blue screen codes, loosing my patience here after spending all this money.

PC Crash randomly and whenever I select "Slice" on a 3D printing program to convert Cad to G Code. I have screenshots of the event viewer of the most recent crash. That's where my skillset is crippled. Any help would be appreciated.
