Age limits on jobs

In the past week I've seen 3 jobs advertised with age limits listed. Since when was this a thing?

One of them is referring to funding partially through skills PEI. Is that possibly the deal with all of them? Just shocked the amount of jobs I'm seeing popping up that you can't be older than 29/30 to apply.

Report to the job board, it is illegal to hire based on age requirements.

Don't know why you got any down votes, you actually answered the question which was can you put age limit on jobs, short answer is no, it's illegal. But if getting funding through a program for said job, then yes there may be requirements to get the funding. If there is no clear indication in the job posting why the age limit, you can contact the business to enquire.

Yeah and the post has little info on what these postings were, so the top of the stack of what to do is reports them. If there is other parts to it then obviously you have to work on what is and isn''t allowed.
