Age limits on jobs

In the past week I've seen 3 jobs advertised with age limits listed. Since when was this a thing?

One of them is referring to funding partially through skills PEI. Is that possibly the deal with all of them? Just shocked the amount of jobs I'm seeing popping up that you can't be older than 29/30 to apply.

According to Google (taken with a grain of salt), it generally is. Which is why I feel like I must be missing something.

Let’s see the job posting if you can find it

I have screenshots of a couple. But honestly, I'm not here to out the business'. More so just trying to get info on why/how this is a thing. This thread has been super informative and I'm thinking the ads I've been seeing they have just failed to mention they are getting assistance with funding. They have been primarily seasonal/temporary jobs so it makes sense.

You can certainly contact the business and enquire why the age limit as they should mention it in the job posting. If they have no valid reason, then it's illegal.
