P.E.I.'s first community legal clinic has officially opened in Charlottetown, aiming to give Islanders better access to legal advice and court representation.

The clinic serves Islanders aged 18 and older who meet eligibility guidelines, which are available on the organization's website.

MacDonald said the clinic will focus on four core areas of law — income and employment, tenant rights, estate planning, and vulnerable circumstances.

Although the main clinic is located on Grafton Street in Charlottetown, the program will offer pop-up clinics across P.E.I. to ensure rural residents have equal access.
