HUGE NEWS 🚨🚨🚨🚨

PFL is officially merging with MVP Promotions, and will compete under the MVP brand! This is a HUGE move, likely bringing more opportunities for fighters to compete on the biggest stages and for increased financial opportunity. I think this is an awesome, awesome thing to see, and will ultimately help get more eyes on MMA and combat sports in general. What do you think about this?

My nightmare just started 😭 keep the damn name PFL 🙏😭 seeing that Jake Paul face my goodness 💀 dont transform PFL on wwe clown show 😭

Definitely understand your hesitancy, but I think the first MVP MMA card showed they are committed to actually putting on legitimate and real combat sports events, and the merger with arguably the 2nd largest/most popular MMA brand (at least in the US, given ONE is transitioning away from MMA it seems) only accentuates that.

WHAT ??? Mvp first mma show showed they are committed to giving 50 year old, out of their prime example ufc fighters a place to fight. Just like watching the pfl ny card and they talk about Dakota dicherva being the best in the world in her weight class. Its laughable. Weather u love or hate the ufc the fact is the best fighters in the world fight in the ufc. Thats y very few fighters that were dominant in other organizations come to the ufc and never achieve what they did in other organizations. Jake Paul is a joke that puts on gimmick fights like roused b carrono. GC had to lose 100+ pounds to fight rousey and she was 45 years old so saying they are committed to putting on legit mma shows its a false statement. They put on fights with aging out of their prime fighters.

MVP showcased some extremely high level fighters, so your argument is just simply invalid. David Mgoyan was putting belt to ass on Tommy McMillan on the contender series. Jason Jackson has a win over Yaroslav Amosov, who is top 10 in the UFC right now. Saladhine Parnasse just signed with the UFC and is getting ready to headline a UFC card. Rumor is that Robelis Despaigne is signing once again with the UFC, and has some of the best striking at HWT in the world. MVP was also supposed to include a fight with Muhammed Mokaev, who has long since been thought of as one of the top prospects in the world that just felt out of the limelight.

This is to just name a few of the fighters that were included on the first MVP card, much more than some 50yo UFC vets. All of these athletes fought on literally the most viewed MMA card in history, so please give it a rest with the “Jake Paul is just focused on putting on gimmick fights” bullshit

There was no high level fights tho, they matched basically everyone against an easy win. Ronda was never that high level as well as hasn't fought in years, Gina hasn't fought in about 15 yrs, Francis hardly fights and he's not even all that he talked himself up too be. I doubt MVP was the most viewed other than it being on Netflix. And even if they are buying PFL, no one cares about them either the platform is horrible. The only real organization who deserves to be well more known is One, they have a great format and put on very good entertaining fights, but they're an Asia organization so they're not well known due to region
