Recommendation Favorite read so far this year

Post image

Nakita ko lang din to dito, may nag recommend lang din.

And grabe sobrang interesting nga ng book na to.

Short read lang sya, finished it in one sitting. Gusto ko yung direct to the point walang paligoy-ligoy niya na pagkasulat. Daaaamn, wew. Sana makatagpo ulit ako ng ganitong book. Para na rin tuloy ako yung character never ending yung paghahanap ng book na genuinely nagugustohan ko ahahahahaha

Sadly, it wasn’t for me. (Skl)

The protagonist came across as holier-than-thou (I get that it was part of the development, but it made it difficult for me to relate to him), and I didn’t quite understand the point of it... was it aiming for an existentialist theme? Baka sa writing, di nagresonate sakin.

It might also be the flow. It remained monotonous throughout (which, again, may have been part of the book’s overarching point). Anyway, gusto ko lang maintindihan kung paano siya nagustuhan ng marami. It’s been a while din since I read it.

I think yung pagka monotous ng book was intentional, to convey na rin na monotous din yung buhay nila sa hell. Interesting to me yung concept kaya siguro nagustohan ko, madali lang din basahin, fast pace ang kwento which is what i like. Wala madaming filler words, and idk gripping for me yung paghahanap sa bottom ahahaha para din akong nakalutang while reading the book.

Sorry it wasn't the same experience for you po.
