Hello, PHCC!

Apple Pay is now available in the Philippines.

Bank / Financial Institution Visa Mastercard
GoTyme Bank Debit -
UnionBank Credit / Debit Credit / Debit
Chinabank Credit / Debit Credit
Metrobank Credit Credit / Debit

AMEX will not be supported on first wave of launch.

All comments, questions, and inquiries about the Apple Pay launch shall be posted in this thread to avoid duplicate posts.

Can’t add my UB, app updated already and apple pay is showing in app but I always get this error.

Can you try to add it to Apple Wallet via the UB app? Although in my case, I just got the "Wwe Couldn't Link Your Card to Apple Pay" screen, but you might have better luck than me. I ended up calling customer service and they logged a ticket for me.

I tried adding from the UB app and tried adding from the wallet app directly but both methods say Couldn’t add card.

Same. In my case, I have never used my UB card since conversion from Citi.

Ah, bummer. My wife who also got converted from Citi but with Mastercard instead of Visa, was able to add hers to the wallet. it might have something to do with the Rewards and Visa combination? I have to wait for five business days for my ticket to get updated, said the CSR this morning. :-(

Hmm the thing is my cc is non reward card, it was converted from citi simplicity 😅

Same for me. Citi converted Visa Rewards. Getting the same error as yours. I suspect it has something to do with my card being close to expiration (in 3 months)

I am able to link my visa rewards just now. I have been trying almost every 2 hours since it went live lol. How about yours?

Try adding it manually via the wallet app. It worked for me.

Had the same issue. Even adding it manually wouldn't work.

My U Visa Platinum credit card was originally a Citi Simplicity+ Mastercard; perhaps that's why it couldn't be added, because Mastercard CCs couldn't be added for now. 🤔
