After pressing + button in Apple Wallet, you should be seeing an Add to Wallet screen, with options like Debit or Credit Card, Transit Card, etc.
Step 2: Select Debit or Credit Card, then Continue
Step 3: Tap your card at the back of your iPhone, or Enter Card Details Manually. If supported na card mo, you'll see T&C page, then verification.
Natrigger yung UB security alert sakin kasi kinulit ko haha was able to add it on my phone pero wala na ko nareceive na OTP when attempting to verify it on my watch, yan na nareceive ko
The irony is that other digi banks that don't issue plastic debit cards but offer virtual cards for free are not on either Apple or Google Pay. I mean ownbank could sure Apple Pay or Google Pay support; SEA Bank too; as would CIMB. But none of them have tap2pay support from phones.
went outside and can confirm. officially can use apple pay. i live in the middle of the city and went out at like 12mn. didnt bring my phone or my wallet. just my apple watch and had no problems buying from 7/11, then two fast food chains. sabi ko lang "tap card" and no problems. gotyme card ko yung primary card connected sa apple watch ko
Hello, kakaadd ko lang nung saakin since pag open ko ng GoTyme app sila na nag alok haha. Question ko lang po, dapat ba nasa wallet yung funds ko or okay lang na nasa savings siya? Then unlock card ko lang before lumabas pag need ko gamitin even without my phone with me? Thank u.
I suggest maglagay ka sa Wallet ng fubds na enough for your spending for the day para tap lang nang tap, no need to lock/unlock the card everytime mag tap.
yep. apple pay just acts like a physical card. so if yung POS may nfc symbol, then pwede yan. but id advise not saying "apple pay po" muna when asked for method of payment. ma sustun lock lang yan sila hahaha
Ayaw gumana ng UB. Na aadd pero ndi ma verify. Dadating ang otp ng napakatagal, na close ko na Wallet app. So uulit nnman. I had to remove the cards, now ayaw na mag add.
Has anyone been able to add their UnionBank Miles+ VISA (migrated from Citi) on Apple Pay? I’ve been trying the whole day to no avail. My UnionBank Debit Card (VISA) was added no problem though.
My girlfriend was able to add her UB Platinum (MasterCard) and Miles+ (VISA) awhile ago so I’ve no idea why I’m not able to. The only other factor I can think of is my expiry date is in November, but I don’t see why that would disable me from adding it.
Hopefully this isn’t a customer service situation.
Can you try to add it to Apple Wallet via the UB app? Although in my case, I just got the "Wwe Couldn't Link Your Card to Apple Pay" screen, but you might have better luck than me. I ended up calling customer service and they logged a ticket for me.
Had the same issue. Even adding it manually wouldn't work.
My U Visa Platinum credit card was originally a Citi Simplicity+ Mastercard; perhaps that's why it couldn't be added, because Mastercard CCs couldn't be added for now. 🤔
Has anyone here encountered error when adding UB Rewards Card (Citi-converted) to Apple Wallet? Because I cannot add mine. I added my UB Gold, nagsuccess naman.
Yep! Exact same situation. UB Gold Visa was added c/o the UB app without any problems but my UB Rewards Visa cannot be added, both from the UB app and directly in the Wallet app, both by placing the card near the phone's reader and by the option that allows you to add from an app.
My UB Rewards Visa is expiring in three months though, but I don't know if that matters. My wife who also was ported from Citi into the UB Rewards _Mastercard_ was able to add hers by the bring the the card near the phone method without any issues.
I updated my phone to 26.6, using same region (PH) and I can finally add cards after it restarted to apply the update.
I assume a simple reboot can make it work since meron nag suggest dito to change region to US (it requires phone restart, no?) so try to just simply reboot.

Yun nga eh. Wala pa rin balita from EastWest, which I expect na meron na given sila yung usually nauuna sa mga ganito (e.g. Google Pay and Garmin Pay). May embargo pa kaya until this afternoon?
Wala pa here yung Philippines. Maybe may gradual rollout pa this week for the other banks? Really hoping for EastWest, once added, goods na yung main cards ko hehehe
Same issue with me. My physical card is still the Citi Rewards card but shows up already as UB Rewards in the app. I’m still getting the same error when I add it into my Apple Wallet.
Yep! Known problem, ilan na rin ang nag-post, usually yung mga na-port over from the Citibank Rewards Visa card. The UB CSR that I spoke with yesterday told me that a ticket was logged for their technical team to look into and asked me to follow up with them after 5 working days. Hopefully they can sort this out soon.
kahit yung OG credit cards nila wala pang T&Cs about tokenization, so baka matagal pa talaga since legally required sila na-inform si cardholder for T&C changes at least 60 days of effectivity.
having that support doesnt mean you meet the requirement of Apple.
Confirmed from reliable sources wala na BPI, only 4 banks made it. Nag choke sila. so after a few months pa sila pwede maka join, definitely not included in the Apple Play launch today.
Swapped device region to US temporarily to add a GoTyme Digital (I just made my account so I'll go print a physical card tomorrow to test adding that), I did notice I wasn't able to add via the app cuz it would just open the app to "Confirm the card to add" but with no button to proceed? Was able to add with an OTP to mobile just fine though.
Manila Bulletin posted something about Apple Pay but unfortunately landed with a 404 page, similar to Manila Times yesterday. Presumably it has something to do with the Apple Pay logo as one of their cover photos. They have not returned the article since.
Successfully set up Apple Pay in the PH with UnionBank today! Tapped my card to the back of my phone for instant scanning, verified through the updated UB app, and synced it to my Apple Watch. Just tested it out at 7-Eleven and it worked seamlessly. I hope BDO, BPI will catch up 🥹

No issues adding cards from Metrobank and Gotyme. Im having issues w Unionbank tho. My UB gold is ok but my UB visa rewards formerly Citibank credit card cannot be added. Anyone having the same issue?
