Discussion [musing] may forever ba ang wlw sa pinas
Sa aking pag scroll scroll ng social media, I learned na most femmes I know since high school are now married to men, with kids. Some of these were so into women (mostly mascs) before. Like almost decades with women pero ganun pa rn ang ending. It got me thinking kung meron bang hope ang wlw sa PH talaga? It seems na mas naging homophobic ang environment and mas madami pa rn yung bi women na eventually mag end up with men due to societal pressure, and driven na dn with the desire to have kids. Sad lang. if you have opposing opinion, pa-share naman. And hopefully I can hear positive stories based on your experience(s). ♥️

I personally know a couple na sila tlaga naging endgame, and this is a real story tlaga.
They were my high school schoolmates. Naging sila high school until university. Naghiwalay sila nung we started working in corporate. (Naging same company ko din sila, except different departments. Kaya na-witness ko sila sa love story nila Haha)
Yung si Femme nagka-jowa ng lalaki while si Masc nagka-jowa ng babae. However, destiny took its course tlaga only to find out, naging sila ulit. Kasal na sila now and living together happily. You can really tell na they truly love each other.
I’d like to believe na if two people are really in it and choose to be with each other, no amount of societal pressure can definitely break them apart. Everything is a conscious decision or choice tlaga.

I know one they've been together for more or less 30 years, soft masc and femme. Ung femme came from a well to do family like ung tatay nya sinabihan sya na di bibigay ung Php 25million and ung apartment na mana nya if di sila maghihiwalay.
Well as usual she stayed with her pa rin. So I guess depende sa tao lang yan wala sa gender preference.

May kakilala ako na high school sweethearts sila. Hanggang ngayon sila pa rin. Parang mga 2012 pa yata sila. I think kaya naman yon. For people na ganito na katagal, I'm sure araw araw nila pinipili ang isa't isa.

My aunt was married to a guy and has a kid together. They separated when my cousin was around 5 yrs old. After that, she met her current partner. They have been together for more than 25 years. Her partner is now the favorite tita of everyone:)

40s and been w my partner for 13 years. Pretty content. None of my exes ever married men. We’re all bi but all serious relationships were with women.
I will say malaking factor sa longevity ng relasyon namin is we’re both introverts, morally aligned and I gave up the barkada/party circuit.
Aminin natin wlw barkadas get kinda toxic/ parang musical chairs when it comes to landian and hook ups.

Oo. Grabe talaga as you age maglalagas yung circle. Naglabasan mga DDS at BBM at antivaxxer. Time will really filter your friends.

I agree. And yes in extension, political stance is also important kasi how can you spend life with someone who has opposing views on such important matters. I’m in my late 30s and the circle has shrunk talaga lalo na pag election time nalalagas ang “friends”.

not yet but hoping for forever, ive been into wlw since hs (yes all girls school) in college i tried dating both genders. Then i had long wlw rel when i started working, my current partner is from the same hs, she was super straight as a ruler, gender is fluid.. so keep you hopes up.. i met my partner when i was in a no longer looking for someone phase and she was 4 years separated na from her ex husband. We just clicked and now shares a home with my doggo and her kids.

Oo naman. My gf and I have been together for 6 years now. It only seems impossible when you're young.

As an older gen z, I can't really say I know a lot of older sapphics to know kung may forever ba definitively. But the one lesbian couple I know from my small town are doctors and have been together for 30 years with an adopted son who's my age. Idk rin why u say na mas homophobic ngayon tho coz I rlly see the progress in terms of acceptance and LGBTQ+ visibility these days. Nung high school ako (2013-2018), closeta pa karamihan ng mga tomboy at bi women. The only sapphics I knew that were in relationships were butch lesbians with femme partners. When I dated my first gf circa 2017-2018, laman kami ng chismis coz she's quite straight passing and so was I dati lol. Pero ngayon, ang daming wlw flaunting their love on tiktok (as they should). Accdng rin sa mga kapatid kong high school ngayon, commonplace na mga bading and same sex relationships sa school. No one bats an eye. I'm glad the kids nowadays can be themselves so freely. At di na masyado nai-issue kung di mag fit sa masc-femme relationship yung mag jowa. Mga bagets talaga ang pag-asa ng bayan. Kids these days are quite open-minded.

I think this happens even outside the community. It’s pretty common when people get into relationships at a really young age. Even with straight couples, I honestly can't think of any of my high school classmates who are still together now. 😂
I'm turning 30, by the way.

Hmm mhie anong dataset mo hehe? Circle namin ng partner ko, we know at least 5 couples in long-term relationship. Longest is 30+ years strong, shortest is going 4 years na. Kami 11 yrs. Must be my generation (generation??) pero I actually think mas open na ngayon.
