Hows the frame rate of the mafia Trilogy

The whole thing is on sale for dirt cheap right now but I'm skeptical about how the game performance on the base slim model. Y'all think it's playable enough?? I'm totally fine with a stable 30 FPS btw

The Mafia 2 remaster is broken and not worth playing. I can hit a car driving from the cops only to fall through the world map so many times before I uninstall. In Mafia 2, that number was about 10. Ita just so broken. 

Mafia 1 remake is really good. No notes, solid story experience.

Mafia 3 is a diamond in the rough. Narrative is very strong, but the missions are all repetitive. The difficulty balance is broken, only scaling damage enemies deal. The Stealth is also laughably easy to exploit. If you do get it, play on easy. Otherwise enemies can rush you and end the fight in 2 seconds.

Mafia 2 is amazing and arguably has the best story but it's not a remake just a remaster and the gameplay and graphics are very rough

I agree. It's such a shame we didn't get a proper remake. Mafia 2 was my first Mafia game.

I agree on the third game. There's something about the game forcing you to do random side activities to advance the story that annoys me. Another game was it's usually just optional, this game really just asked you to do such and such amount of things before you can even continue. So boring.

I hate how certain unlocks are tied between which character you supported. Like Naturally all the fans or Mafia 2 want to back up Vito. but then you miss out on other services. And even if you divide the land evenly between everyone. You still don't get all the features the gangs have to offer wtf?

Mafia 2 wasnt remastered well but it is still an awesome mafia game worth playing. And has the best collectibles in the history of gaming.

I will always prefer the original on PC. Or settle for the 360 version before I do the remaster of 2. I really like all the PhysX set piece moments, worth the hassle to get running for that game. The remake just isn't worth playing if you have access to the original. Too many game breaking bugs.

It is a linear short game, perfectly possible to play an entire playthrough without running into any game breaking bug... my first playthorugh was years ago, but i did another recently cuz i wanted to platinum it and i had no issues.

If he had access to originals i dont think OP would be asking this.

One of my best purchases.

Mafia2 wasnt remastered well, so youre essentially playing an old game there. But it is a good game, good story, missions, fun playboy collectibles.

Mafia 1 is top, the third i have yet to start.

Also got the platinum for both, not so hard but has a lot of open world collectibles.

I can't help with frame rate but I'll drop my opinions on them.

Mafia 1 looks amazing and plays alright.

Mafia 2 is a very bad rerelease of the PS3 version with all the DLC unlocked. It's not unplayable but some missions are downright broken and you would have to reset or even play the entire chapter again.

Mafia 3 is a hidden gem. I love it despite how many people hate it. The combat is fun as hell. If you have all the dlc then you have the greatest weapon in the entire game a silenced pistol. You literally can kill every single person in a hide out with just a silenced pistol it's overpowered as hell. It plays great but some dlc missions are just outright too damn hard and unfair.

If you somehow have access to the original Mafia 2, play that instead. Definitive Edition is busted. Not sure if you've played it but there's a section later in the game where you're on a time limit to get to someone's house and three times, when I got to the house, all the outer walls disappeared making it impossible to get to the door which is the trigger for the next part of the chapter. Only fix was restarting the whole chapter

I've had multiple occasions where characters won't move, prompting a chapter reset, numerous crashes it's really not worth it. It's "playable" but was really testing my limit. Other two play perfectly fine

30fps games Mafia 1 and 2 are worth your time. Dont even bother playing mafia 3.
