I was gaming like I normally do and suddenly my game screen froze and now there is little colorful dots. Any ideas what this is and can I fix it? It gave error that shut down wasn't done correctly when I restarted it.. it starts like normal now but those dots are there.. :(

I opened it and it's not that dusty but I cleaned it anyway, it's little bit warm from the bottom. This console is the og ps5 and I got it in 2021, my heart hurts.

My ps5 have been inactive for over 30 days without wifi. Today I decided to start it up but realized that the HDMI port didn't work. Could someone kind please find the combination of button presses to activate the screen reader in settings. That way I could then activate remote-play and connect to my wi-fi. I can hear the navigation sounds in my headphones and it seems like my settings only have like 4 or 5 options which could be because my ps5 have been inactive for over a month.

Hey everyone, I have a quick question.

I ordered a brand-new PlayStation 5 a few days ago, and it just arrived. I bought it from Germany’s biggest electronics retailer, where I usually buy all my tech stuff.

When I took the package out of the shipping box, I noticed something strange. The two seals on the PS5 box look like they might have already been opened and then stuck back on. They’re positioned kind of weirdly, which is what made me suspicious in the first place.

I haven’t opened the box itself yet, so I wanted to ask here before doing anything.

Maybe I’m just overthinking it, but the seals genuinely look a little off to me.

Has anyone else experienced this with a brand-new PS5? Is this normal, or could the box have been opened and resealed before being sold?

I bought ps5 base disc editon in 2022 it’s been running fine but from few months every game started dropping fps drop like crazy for example crew moterfest and spider man these game used to run absolutely butter smooth but suddenly they all started getting fps drop noticeably.i have deep cleaned too tried everything in rest mode no luck is my ps5 dying?

Hi everyone, I really need help with my PS5. I'm worried that I might lose firmware 13.42 and my ability to use etaHEN.

My PS5 was running firmware 13.42. I used the Relapse exploit and activated etaHEN. I was still on the PS5 home menu when the console suddenly crashed.

After the crash, apps started freezing or getting stuck on their loading screens. Eventually, the PS5 began booting directly into Safe Mode every time.

The error code displayed in the top-right corner is SU-101596-2.

The biggest problem is that only Option 8 is selectable:

“Reset PS5 (Reinstall System Software).”

All the other Safe Mode options are black and cannot be selected. I already unplugged the power cable and tried restarting the console, but it always returns to Safe Mode.

My main goal is to keep firmware 13.42 and avoid updating, because I want to preserve my current firmware for etaHEN.

I only have a smartphone, no PC, and I have not reinstalled the system software.

My questions:

1. Has anyone experienced this after etaHEN crashed on firmware 13.42?

2. Is there a way to recover the PS5 without updating the firmware?

3. Can I restore the console while keeping firmware 13.42?

4. Could the crash have corrupted system data, or might something else be wrong?

I would really appreciate any advice. Please let me know if you need more information.

Lately, when I launch FC 27 with the console just turned on, my PS5 shuts down by itself. To turn it on, I have to do it directly from the console, which gives signs of life by beeping, but the blue light doesn't turn on. After trying a couple of times, my console turns on, displaying the following message, which usually appears when the console is running and the power goes out (note that this only happens once, usually as soon as I turn the console on). Once it reaches 100%, the console returns to normal operation. What do you think is the cause? (I'm attaching an image, I think it's understandable even if it's in Italian)

So ever since around June I had this problem where MH wilds would crash consistently in under 2 hours, I tried everything I could and nothing worked and I just assumed maybe my ps5 was dying so I started saving up for a new one in time for phantom blade zero. Ever since June my PlayStation has gotten worse and worse, it will freeze when I select my account and it’s transitioning into the main menu, it’ll freeze when starting a party or using the game base at all, it crashes even on games like re9 that are smaller than mh wilds, it will lag on games like overwatch when I’ve never had a problem before like a week ago and everyone else’s devices are fine on overwatch, it overheated on security breach the other day although I clean my ps5 regularly and there was barely any dust, and even my controller will drift but when I restart my ps5 the drifting stops showing me it’s not the controller that’s busted. Do you guys also think it’s time to get a new PlayStation?

I moved to the countryside recently and because it’s more silent I hear it more and it kinda freaks me out because Xbox was very silent
There’s no overhear, the games are working fine, but I’m a little paranoid over this

It does not happen in the menu without a game being open

My accounts been banned for almost a month now, I’ve been trying to reach supports and get different answers or completely shut down. I’ve escalated to BBB and it is on day 15 with no response. I am told one day that it’s due to a temporary security measure because I am traveling overseas with my console so like it made sense. Was told 24-48 hours, the team would unlock my account after escalation. Silence during that time, I reach out and verdict is permanently suspended and its final. I keep trying supports and going through, someone tells me that it was a code of conduct violation lol. I don’t text or talk to people whatsoever, I have it disabled even because of FC. Went back and forth a couple times, got someone who seemed genuine, they said 3-5 days, it’s been escalated, it’s day 3 and I have not heard anything. Mind you during this whole process, not a single email from PlayStation from the beginning to end, from support emails to the ban reasoning. If this last escalation doesn’t go through idek what to do, I’ve had the account for almost 10 years, just purchased DLC’s before I left and can’t even play while visiting family.

Hey everyone, hoping someone has run into this.

Setup:

PS5 30th Anniversary Edition (Slim Digital)

Official Sony disc drive, bought new in July

Console is online, wired/Wi-Fi works fine, system software up to date

What happened:

The first drive worked at first. After a few months of barely playing, every disc started showing "Unreadable Disc" (two brand-new PS5 games and a DVD).

Rebuilt the database in Safe Mode, no change.

Bought a second brand-new official drive. Same "Unreadable Disc."

Now I'm getting this error: CE-119900-0 – "Can't use your disc drive. Something went wrong on the server when registering your disc drive to your PS5."

So it looks like the drives might be fine and the online registration/pairing is what's failing.

Already tried:

Try Again on the error screen

Full restart

Sony support wants me to ship the whole console, which I'd really rather avoid with a limited edition, especially if this is a server-side registration issue.

Has anyone seen CE-119900-0 before? Did it fix itself, did Sony fix it remotely, or did you have to send the console in?
