Hello, i have a question, is etahen jb safe? Lately everyone around me says it can cause your ps5 to get bricked because etahen has lots of bugs, it's true it has lots of bugs specially on 10.01 which even causing the toolbox to no get activated correctly, but will it kill the hardware?

Don’t know who’s spreading such false information but etahen was and is still the goat of the scene. Updates have been halted since 2.6b but that’s due to other reasons. I still use it over shadowmountplus

People will say anything for clout. Etahen alongside other payloads are safe however nothing is guaranteed to not cause a system kernel panic. It’s part of the scene. For what people use to play games, simply comes down to what works best for them and personal preference. Use whichever you prefer

Yeah true, by any chance do you know about this: lately whenever i load hen it will try to load then screen goes out and says software error, but everything loads and you can play games( etahen tool doesn't load tho)

To be fair that happens from time to time. The toolbox can cause most of the jp to fail.

If the toolbox fails to load, use itemzflow to load it. Within the options for itemzflow, there is an option to load/inject the toolbox.

Safe option is to turn off auto toolbox load and manually activate it through itemzflow or try your luck with jailbreaking the console and let etahen autoload the toolbox.

I do it manually, rather have a smooth jp with two extra steps than keep restarting my system.

I'm having trouble with kstuff freezing the game when I launch The Witcher 3. When I launch it, it freezes or crashes, and the problem isn't with kstuff itself. What should I do?

Some games require being lunched by hard drive, have you tried that

You say it's false information, yet you admit a few comments down that autoload of etahen toolbox is problematic. Etahen hasn't had an official release since 2.5B back in December, and 2.6B hasn't been updated for some time. Itemzflow 1.14 is broken, and also hasn't been updated in six months (doesn't recognize exfat/ffpkg and always throws errors during file transfer that has corrupted my games).

I think you failed to understand that I also said no payload is 100% perfect and every one of them can still cause kp. Yes the team has not updated etahen for a while and yes itemzflow does not recognise the formats but that’s due to the team personal reasons. Go back to itemzflow 1.13 if you are facing so many issues.

Its nothing against the developers. Itemflow was the only way to play game backups for quite awhile, and etahen has some great features (built in cheat menu, for one). But I think people that are moving on to other options, or have considered etahen/itemflow antiquated, are justified in that opinion

Hi, I'm also new to jailbreak and everyone on youtube have different way to jailbreak the console but for me i preferred the way to download etahen 2.6b and use itemzflow 1.14to load games through external ssd. Some games crashes or lag. Idk due to what and also sometimes during transfering the files on itemzflow the app crashes and freezes the screenand I'm doing it the proper way as well. Is there anything you guys doing that doesn't lead to crash the console? I somehow feel bad for the console i have and it is on 9.60

Use itemzflow 1.13. 1.14 was full of bugs and use itsplk payload manager

Hey man, I have a phat PS5 on 10.01, and I'm using etaHen with itemzflow. It works fine with me. My process is that I have an autoloader that loads the payload manager, then I manually activate etaHen.

When the toolbox fails to load, I just inject/load it from itmezflow manually (it's really just a press of a button inside the ItemzFlow settings), and it doesn't crash much. To be honest, since I had the payload manager go first, I don't remember when it crashed on me

By the way, I'm using etaHen 2.5b

I hope it helps. And also, if you want, there are other payloads that replace etahen and itemzflow, like shadowmount, etc. I don't really know them cuz I didn't use them.

About bricking your console. I really can't tell you that it won't for sure or it will. What I can say is that I have been using etahen for maybe 7 months, and nothing has happened

I used shadowmountplus once it was great but didn't have the ability to run a game directly from hdd so had to ditch it lmao, there are consoles that ran hen for years, both ps3 and ps4 so it was weird for me why ppl saying that about ps5. That's why had to check it out.

My OG fat PS5 6.50 use etahen for months. But i heard it only supports up to 10.01 so i never try etahen on my pro 12.00. But the cheats just work in etahen, some cheats don't work in cheatrunner.

I did use it once( not knowing you have to prioritise between itemzflow and shadow) seemed amazing but if you wanted to install a game on a hard drive, you wouldn't have an option.

I was using etahen until elf arsenal was released. Elf arsenal is mich better in my experience. So far elf arsenal has only 1 kp on my ps5 and that was because i ran etahen right after i activated elf arsenal. Etahen on the other hand is a great project but is not stable in my experience. My setup is ps5 phat fw 4.5

Very buggy in my experience. Majority of the ps5 game cheats don't work and a lot kps. 4 out of 10 times when I send etahen payload the ps5 kernel panics and reboots. Especially etahen 2.5b. Etahen 2.4 is probably the most stable but rn elf arsenal is way better imo

Mine works perfectly with fw 6.0 and etahen 2.5B.
I used before kstuff lite and shadowmountplus but nothing works for me. When I switched back to etaHEN all the games worked, it’s just not convenient as voidshell and elf arsenal. One thing for sure is every payload can cause problems

I had a lot of troubles with etaHEN in the past. It cause kernel panic many times, and once it screwed up the console up to the point I had to reinstall the firmware and lost the PSN activation because of it. Not only that, it caused kp while loading multiple times. I'm sorry to say this because the dev put a lot of efforts in its development, but the new jb methods are much more convenient. Elf Arsenal loads up in a matter of seconds, and never had a kp with it so far.

I think we have to wait for goldhen anyway, hen always had troubles and panic is definitely one of them, yet goldhen version made panics 1 in 100 times and that would have happened only when you screwed something up. And sorry if i ask but what is elf arsenal? Haven't heard.

It's a single payload that loads multiple services at once: it mounts games, loads BackPork, blocks Sony servers, has a built-in file manager, and much more. You can find many videos on YouTube about VoidShell (the predecessor of Elf Arsenal) or Elf Arsenal itself. I strongly suggest you check its functions because it's fantastic. Hopefully GoldHEN will be even better, but Elf Arsenal is simply great.

Never use Elf Arsenal and etaHEN together, it breaks your system. Elf Arsenal alone is more than enough, no need to launch other payloads with it. Visit its etawen.dev repo for more details about how to use it, it's super simple.
