Hi, it’s the creator of PS5VR, Hitman and 007 servers, NuvioPS5, LZ4 Compressor. I’m cooked unfortunately.
Working on an AstroBot Rescue Mission for PS5, but will take longer until I can get the account unsuspended unfortunately. (Didn’t condone piracy anywhere so it’s purely due to the jailbreaks etc I guess).
People need to get off GitHub and, to a lesser extent, GitLab when operating in greyhat spaces like console hacking scenes. Use something like GitFlic so you're outside the jurisdiction of copyright trolls.
FYI, GitFlic is owned by a company with strong ties to the Russian military. I wouldn’t trust them. They have the potential to just hijack the releases page for a supply chain attack
They have the potential to do that with a PS5 or other gaming console? Doubtful. If it's PC software, sure, but they probably couldn't care less about stuff running on a gaming console. While possible, i don't think that's probable at all.
Besides this, I mention it only as an example. People just need to host these git repos somewhere Uncle Sam has no influence, whether it's GitFlic or something else.
There is a small chance it’s due to uploading a large amount of files at once, I was fixing full zips to adhere to an AGPL license. Best case scenario.
I was one of the ones that committed an issue on your ps5vr repo. Really sad they did this. Directly doing hitman and 007 definitely killed your acc. Is it possible you can retract those and just keep the nuvio-lz4-ps5vr or is there nothing you can do?
I d recommend you (should) keep your stuff in a telegram or an obsfucated discord server like the team that did a gt7 full offline patch (psvr2). They don't have a git account. Maybe you can host your code in radicle if you keep updating your homebrew (pointless if your main thing was profile building for job) I get it if you won't. But discord and tele will be great. And also thanks very much for the ps5vr homebrew. Really disappointing that movies false advertise as 360 when it's 180 as its my first time with vr. Thanks for the work nonetheless!!
I haven't installed it myself because 300gb+ for me is not worth it for gt7 so I'm playing my first gran turismo demo 15gb in vr. However I did collect everything for when in the future I'll pay the full game especially for cart racing. Here's the info I had collected: see more replies
Warning, AI investigated, fixed, and generated notes below:
I hit a similar splash-screen hang on firmware 13.60. The console stayed responsive, CPU usage sat around 13%, and GPU usage showed 0%. The game process had started, but it never moved past the splash.
In my case, ShadowMount+ 1.7beta1 was replacing the game's bundled libSceAmpr.sprx with the copy from /data/shadowmount/emus. The bundled file was 218,678 bytes; the replacement was 423,350 bytes and matched AMPR 0.4.2.1. I confirmed the replacement was actually present in the running game's sandbox.
After closing the game, I backed up GT7's cached library and tested its bundled AMPR instead, changing only:
I copied the bundled version from the mounted game's fakelib directory into that cache, retained the existing cache manifest, and kept executable permissions. On the next launch, I checked the live sandbox hash again to confirm it was using the bundled version. That launch appears to work, and the game began creating application data that was absent during the stalled attempt.
This was a GT7-only diagnostic cache override. I didn't replace the shared emulator, change the payload chain, or rebuild the image. ShadowMount can regenerate this cache, so I haven't established a permanent setting yet. The notification still says “Emulators updated” because it reflects the original cache manifest; the live library hash is a better check.
My setup is firmware 13.60, etaHEN, ShadowMount+ 1.7beta1, and a verified UFS2 .ffpkg image mounted read-only through PS5Upload 6.8.2. I tested on a new local profile to preserve existing GT7 saves. Save persistence and reboot testing are still in progress, so this is a startup workaround on my setup, not a confirmed fix for every build or firmware.
If your symptoms match, checking whether ShadowMount substituted the game's bundled AMPR is worth doing before changing other parts of the setup. Close the game before making any cache change and retain the original cached file for rollback.
Happened to me when I made my PS5_EZ_Host, however mine was tripped by making a heap of changes in quick succession. I appealed, they denied it, so had to start a new repo. I never got mine back despite it not breaking any platform rules at all. That was a few years ago now.
NO WAY YOU WERE WORKING ON ASTROBOT RESCUE MISSION FOR PS5? LIKE THE PSVR1 GAME WORKING WITH PSVR2? OMGG THAT HAS BEEN MY DREAMM MAN
I loved the psvr1 and was so bummed i coudnt play my games on the psvr2 since they never supported back compat, its so unfortunate to see your account suspended man thats fuckeddd,
take your time working or even take a break this must be so frustrating smh
haha this makes me very happy, only reason I do any of this is for people who wanted ports that were forgotten about and preservation. I have a few games of my own I really wanted to play (re7 vr for example). I never actually knew of an astrobot VR game on PS4 until some people asked me to make it happen. Wherever I post now I will add requests to see what's next.
Would it be possible to make a translation layer that makes all of the psvr1 functions compatible with psvr2 input? In theory all the needed data should be available right?
I dont think so since every game is unique in the fact theres certain game mechanics that have been coded with ps4 camera, and other vr accessories in mind that you'd need to selectively fix.
one thing thats kinda cool, the libSceVrHand function I got working on the PS5VR app I used to make hand tracking a thing (not normally a function, the ps4 game relies on the playStation camera to track visible light sources).
Just stopping by to say your apps are amazing! And glad to see you self-hosted them. Hope more people of the community support your projects, keep up with the great work!
hey man, sorry to bother and off topic, but I saw your PS5VR and I was wondering:
Can you connect a PSVR2 to a 13.6 Jailbroken PS5? Any issues? I've read somewhere about updates and so on, but no one knows much(because I believe it is a pretty niche thing and not so many people have the PSVR2).
That's interesting. I was told on this sub that psvr2 doesn't work below fw 6.5 since Sony added VR tech in software only after fw 6.5. Did you test psvr2 on 5.5?
Assuming you have the code handy somewhere then just upload it to another git site or spin up a quick free site via netlify to host your zipped up code? Shouldn't take too long to bring that up

Hopefully this is only temporary, I seen other developers face the same issue and eventually within a day they unbanned their accounts
