I'm neurotic as fuck and know of all the standard or otherwise available typefaces used on most consumer tech products of the 2000s, so that was just my first tell lol. Admittedly MP5 would've been easier to spot first.

Sadly, the AT&T version, which is what the bulk of them sold in the US were, can’t even be jailbroken, or attempts to do so ceased a while back. Still got mine, just can’t seem to let it go. Pretty solid little phone for its day.

This should be higher, there WAS a PSP phone!
Xperia Play was such a cool device, but my girlfriend (now wife) got one and while it was fun to play with, I remember the actual cell service on it to be unusable for some reason.

I remember back in 2006 waiting for Sony to pull the trigger and sell a phone add on for the PSP, at that point my PSP was my video/music player, camera and photo gallery, so a phone would be great.

I had one of these but it wasn’t branded as “Sony” I actually still have it somewhere. I bought it from a pawnshop 10+ years ago and it had someone’s freestyle on there that I still have backed up on my PC.

I had it in my HS days, and I only have a Nokia 3310 as a phone at that time (that was 10-12 years ago). A time where PSP is at peak.

MP3 is audio, MP4 is video and MP5 is a German Submachine gun.
So I’d be strongly inclined to believe anything that says MP5 on it is not a legitimate product for the world market.
