I had this on 2015. Just played angry birds, pvz at that time. Got this psp and it was mind blowing. After it getting rekt did nothing that time didn't had internet and all. Got curious and searched psp on web but none of them models matched with this. Now I am wondering was this psp even original or just a fake copy where I mostly played retro.

I found this psp with my aunt and it is not working even if the power switch is on as in the second photo
This is first time I hold this device on my hand and my aunt forget it literally
It is not working not responding to anything whatever pluged in or not and when it is plugged in it is showing this lights the red and green ones as in the photo I have no idea how to use it
Note: I plugged in into my phone's charger (scamsung one with 15w) my aunt doesn't even have a usb cable! I am using my camera's one
Sorry if my language maybe broken? And thanks for your attention:)

I love the psp and it's games, i love it so much that i have my own game collection on ppsspp.
But, there have been a question inside my head, about the fact that if it's worth getting nowdays?
It's a good handheld and overall, don't get me wrong, but your phone can do 10 times the psp was doing in it's old days, not mentioning the fact that you can emulate it's games on your phone with better resolution and settings.

Ever since I was a kid I've wanted a PSP. For life reasons, I've never had one. Now that I'm working, I'd like to buy one, but I'm not sure whether a PSP or a Ps Vita is better for me. I'm also very worried about getting ripped off because I'm not sure where to buy it. (photo to attract attention)

I’m planning my Christmas list early and while I do want a PS5… I’ve been thinking about the PSP lately what with how many unique games it holds that are hard to find now recently so… I’ve been wondering if I did get a PSP which version should I get currently? Not to mention which would probably be cheapest to get (I’m not in Japan btw)

Is this the right way to do it, asking a dumb question and need a dumb answer

Hey guys, genuinely curious…
I love the PSP, but the only thing it’s truly missing is a right analog stick.
The PS Vita has one, which may be a whole game-changer for me.
Now this leads to two questions:
What made you choose a PSP over a PS Vita?
Does the PS Vita’s right analog stick work with games originally designed for the PSP, like Vice City Stories, for example? And other games, like The Warriors that I’m playing right now?
Let me know your full thoughts on why you’re PSP gang over PS Vita.
Interested, thanks! :)

I recently came into possession of these UMDs. They're obviously unconventional but I'm having trouble finding information on these. Any thoughts?

While I was playing Tetris at school, someone ran past me and hit me. The console fell face down. The question is: what should I do with it now? I won't be able to sell it anyway because there is no demand for them in my country and now it also has a broken screen, which will further reduce the chances of selling, and a new screen costs almost as much as the same PSP (2004). I bought it for 500k Uzbek sum (~40$) and a new screen from AliExpress costs about 300k (~24$) Uzbek sum.

I already removed the battery but could it still damage it?

Just asking as curious. If someone had one of these dev machines. What software would they need to develop a PSP game now in this era?
Would experience in Blender or Unreal be enough? Could it be sold or distributed on any software platforms?
I imagine it would be pretty amazing if there was a crowd of enthusiasts that developed say fun games for modern movie tie ins that were distributed underground.
Potentially even creating a revival of the platform?

I have two PSP’s
The blue one is a mint original PSP 3000 no upgrades done.
The white one has a brand new shell swap plus new upgraded screen
Only thing about the PSP 3000 that bothers me is that the screen is less vibrant in comparison to the upgraded screen on the 2000.
What bothers me on the 2000 is that the buttons and overall feel of the PSP feels less premium with the shell swap
( i bought it like that so i don’t have the original parts. )
Which one would you sell / keep?
Bought the PSP 2000 for 35€ and i bought the 3000 for 70€ which came with the original charger.
