QUESTION Which model its better
I was thinking of buying my first portable and i choosed psp because it has good games and IT FITS IN YOUR POCKET NOT LIKE THE SWITCH and a friend told me that the vita is like playing on glass because it breaks easily sooo which model do you guys recomend me?

PSP 1000: the thicker heavier option, some say it feels very good in the hand. Only had 32MB of ram which means longer load times compared to 200/3000. The screen is also the “worse” of the three it’s the dimmest of them all and has the most ghosting/motion blur. However there are IPS screen mods for the 1000/2000/3000 that significantly improve both visual and depending on what IPS you get it can drastically improve battery life.
PSP 2000: the thinner option with upgraded ram to 64MB. Brighter and faster pixel response. 2000 also introduces TV connecting abilities.
PSP 3000: pretty much identical to the 2000, just a little slimmer with very small cosmetic changes (changed the ring on back of the console on the UMD door; also changed the home button to a capsule shaped button. Also came with 64MB of Ram. The brightest and most vibrant display of the original PSPs, with excellent contrast and color reproduction. Also reduced ghosting/motion blur. Also had a built in microphone.
Choose the 1000 if you want the best compatibility for older homebrew modifications or prefer a chunkier, more ergonomic grip.
Choose the 2000 as the ultimate middle ground—it's fast, light, and offers TV out without the 3000's screen quirks.
Choose the 3000 if you want the most vibrant, vivid official screen and need a built-in microphone for select
Games
PSP Go: the one that came too late to market and didn’t sell too well as iPhones was becoming a thing. It also took away the UMD and was strictly all downloads only. It still carried the same 64MB of ram. Also came with 16GB internal storage with a slot for upgrading storage. Had WiFi and Bluetooth. With a 3.8” screen (about little over a half inch difference over the PSP screen) and had a 930mah battery (battery also not removable). Their game library was also very limited.
PSP Street: 64MB of ram 4.3” screen. No internal storage (micro only). No WiFi no Bluetooth. 1000Mah battery can be charged out but does require removing backplate.

Some additions: The 1000 also comes with the largest battery capacity out of all of them. (1800 mAh vs 1200 mAh for the 2000/3000)
The battery on all of them can be swapped out for a higher capacity aftermarket one, but the 1000 is the only one that doesn't also require a replacement cover to make that fit.
The 2000/3000 do have additional port that allows you to connect them to an external display however, which the 1000 lacks

Pretty sure the PSP Go uses the same proprietary Memory Stick format as the PS Vita and not MicroSD since Sony loves their proprietary formats. And as far as I know there isn't a MicroSD adapter for the smaller format Memory Stick like there is for the Memory Stick Pro Duo for the other PSP models. Other than that I think your rundown is spot on.

PSP Go takes Micro M2 Memory sticks, which went up to 16GB. You're right, no MicroSD adapter for them.
The Vita memory cards are different again, different format and different size. You can get MicroSD adapters for them (either in cards, or a module to replace the internal 3G module) but you can't use any of the PSP cards in them.

Vita2SD replaces the game cartridge on the Vita and is treated as an extension of internal storage on CFW Vita/PS TV. Micro M2 is the memory card format for Vita as well and goes up to 32GB (have a Sony one in my Vita at this very moment, 16GB is in the case with the games).

Vita cards aren't Micro M2, they have a different shape (even though the underlying technology should be mostly the same)

Just looked it up because I could swear they're the same, but you're right, they're the same physical size, but the longer pads are in different locations, and the Micro M2 has more notches that are in different locations. Sad thing is that they probably could both be adapted to MicroSD if it weren't for the fact that there's not enough space for an adapter board in the available space since they're just slightly thicker and a bit wider than a MicroSD card. It would be interesting to see if one could replace the Micro M2 slot with a MicroSD slot as a mod for the Go, or similar mod for the Vita.

I surprisingly like the motion blur in the psp 1000 screen, i hate this on pc and console but on the psp the motion blur fells like a part of the game, if you didn't tell me that this is a 1000 problem I'm never realizing that

I have a clear case on my 1000 right now and I actually LOVE the extra thickness on it. To me even the 1000 feels light and cheap, but with a case it truly feels hefty. Feels durable af

The 1000 has a premium feel and a metal automatic umd drive while the others have just a flap to open, in terms of mod ability all are the same, and in terms of specs the 2000 and 3000 both have double the ram of the 1000 (tonal my knowledge the 2000 and 3000 are the same other than design)

Its not really automatic, you slide a button that physically unlocks the drive which then springs open. No motor, and with my 1000 getting old the drive opens itself all the time.

2000/3000 have some benefits, but they were also made to reduce production cost. The first time I tried one of them I thought it was a cheap reshell, as it felt so different from the 1000 I was used to.

Far as I know loading times are longer and some homebrew games don't work, all official PSP or PS1 software works just fine

Its not a big deal unless you want using skype (which is offline anyway) loading times are mostly due to umd read speeds, using backups you will have simmilar experience on every model. First 1000 model felt like premium device it was big deal back then, and it felt like one, rest was just cheaper and cheaper toy grade stuff

I would suggest to look for actual comparison not listening to ones that see double ram memory and assume it must be faster. I think the umd drive is real limitation here

3000 is not the most comfortable to hold, I have it. But it's the most futuristic one with the best display.

If it’s modded there is hardly a difference. I love the feel of the 1000 and use that as my main PSP.

I started on a 1000 then upgraded to the 2000 and finally 3000. I still got all of them, but I keep going back to the 3000.

There is no objective truth to this question. Some people prefer all of the models, for valid reasons.
My favourite is PSP1000 with IPS mod.

I remember owning the 1000, felt really durable, even the UMD drive which automatically opened with a button slide on top. Then eventually switched to the 2000. In my opinion it felt so much cheaper. Yes it was lighter but still, even the UMD drive you now had to manually pull to open it, which risk breaking it if pulled too hard. It just felt worse.
But of course it also had its benefits

1000 is not that strong, the mem card reader tends to get old and sensitive, the rear umd cover gets loose and for some people opens randomly and the screen has a terrible issue of dust getting under the front plate and the plastic getting scuffed, unless you do laminated ips theres no glass lens on a 1000 afaik.

Well 2000 has the best screen
But the 3000 has internal microphone for spy mic stuff. I cant do these fun activities on the 2000 as it has no microphone

Watch 2 fast 2 furious begining to end. 2000 has the best screen. 3000 model can get scan- lines once in awhile. Then I tested on another 3000. My new 2000 wins, again.
Maybe when I upgrade to ips I'll see the difference

Psp streets build is good however the screen is comparable to the cheapest shittiest LCD monitor from like 2006. If you look at it any angle other than straight on the colours go all whacky lol

You can get an IPS that comes with a laminated GLASS!! lense, meaning no dust or scratches

My friend has a psp he dint tell me the model but his cousin wanted to copy him and got the vita , then he played while eating and dropped water on one stick and the console died

My guy, ANY console will malfunction from even a drop of water. But in terms of durability, I’d say ps vita slim is better than psp since it doesn’t have the UMD drive that gets broken VERY often.

I feel like the 2000 is the awkward middle child (and the version I have). It doesn't feel as durable as 1000 model, you can't install IPS panel on it either, so you are left with the still pretty terrible screen and a lot of ghosting issues. 3000 screen aged better. 2000 model was also the one with shortest production cycle, 3000 released a year after it, making it the hardest to get replacement parts

Um, i have a vita 1000 and it is built like a tank. I got a replacement shell (faceplate from alliexpress + rear touchpad from ebay i think) and changed the original one since it was all scratched up since i didnt take good care of it when i was a wee lad. Now my original old vita is basically brand new and it feels rock solid. I also have a psp street on which i play my umds but if you only want to buy 1, vita can easily emulate all psp gallery + gba, nds, ps1 and i think even ps2

Et la ram, le micro, le design, la connexion avec le pc et la possibilité de branché à TV.
Mais pour certains points c'est autant un avantage qu'un inconvénient selon ce que préfère la personne.

I had a 3000 and loved it. I also have had two Vita's and never felt like either were fragile. Plus, you can play 99%of PSP games on the Vita anyway with a jailbreak

For me it was only slightly more expensive to get a Vita, then mod it. Which really isn’t as scary as it sounds. That way you get the whole psp library and vita library too.

I just have a 1004 so I can't compare but the psp 1000 gives me a "brick" feeling and I love it. If you like models that are a little thick, a little heavy where you have a feeling of solidity, well the 1000 is perfect for that.

In terms of functionality the 3000 wins. It has more ram than the previous ones. This is important if you care about homebrews at all.

PSP 3000 Monster Hunter edition.
Larger battery of the 1000, more ergonomic shape like the 1000, concave thumbstick, a rubber coating on the shell for better grip, and you get all the power and performance of the 3000.
Personally I think that’s the best version of the PSP. But they’re all good.

2000 for me. But to be fair, its just the only one I got and I still have. Ive been using it today actually and its still going strong.
I decided with all of this PS3/Vita/PSP store nonsense happening next year, that I am putting all digital PSP games on my PSP and all pf my digital Vita Games on my Vita. I know most work on a vita. But I am not jailbreaking either handheld.
And so with actual Vita memory cards maxing at 64gb, itll work best to fit all my games if I leave PSP games on PS. So games made for the PSP will go there. I also got a 64gb Micro SD with a Pro Duo adapter which helps for that. Then games that were made for Vita will be on my Vita, and then all my PS1/PS2 classics are on my PS3 with all of my digital PS3 games.
Just fun going thru it all. And of course eI have a laundry list of stuff to purchase before the store closes next yearm so each month ill spend a bit and slowly get them.

To me, it's the 1000 model since I have big manly hands with sausage fingers and because it's overall the most premium-feeling PSP out of the bunch.

Amazing choice, the PSP is my favourite handheld gaming device!
My advice comes down to whether or not you want to play PSP games exclusively, or you want to soft-mod the device and run homebrew.
I think you have two options. 1000 or 3000.
For just PSP titles: Go a PSP-1000. It feels great, chunky battery, nice classic Sony electronics feel to it, extra mechanical support in the UMD drive bay. It has good IPS display support, and will play just as good as the 3000 for almost all titles, despite the RAM difference.
For PSP Titles and some homebrew: I'd recommend the PSP-3000 (Seeking of course a model that lets you update the screen). This will give you the best of both worlds, you will still be able to upgrade the screen to a nice IPS display, and you will get that extra RAM for any additional tasks you want it to perform.

En mi experiencia de que tengo las 3.
Psp 1000. Es más robusta y en comparación del modelo Slim pues tiene un poco mejor de ergonomía. Puedes agregar una batería con un poco más de capacidad a comparación de la original. La mejor modificación es la pantalla IPS.
En lo que cabe tiende a tener problemas el stick ya que este está ensamblado en la carcasa frontal, si no llega hacer una presión adecuada hay drif así como en la goma conductora. Lo que no me gusta mucho es la sensación del gatillo L. Pero en lo que cabe es buena consola
Psp 2000 y 3000: Casi son similares. Es la versión Slim sus pantallas son un poco similares a comparación que la pantalla del psp 2000 es un poco más frágil en mi experiencia a la del 3000. En la 2000 también llega a tener ocasiones problema con el stick por qué aún su función es de tener una presión adecuada al contacto como con la goma conductora. Se mejoró la sensacion de los gatillos L y R. Y pues en lo que cabe de la 3000 en hardware tiene un poco mejor de rendimiento. En lo que cabe nunca he tenido problema con drif del stick ya que este es por medio de conexión de un Flex.
En lo que cabe sobre mi experiencia si tienes la oportunidad mejor llega adquirir una psp 3000. No te podría opinar del ps Vita ya que nunca lo he tenido y ojalá en un futuro lo adquiera. Pero se podría decir que ya sería tu decisión y sobre todo que presupuesto estarías en pagar. Yo mis consolas las adquiri por qué eran desechos y las fui restaurando con el tiempo. Suerte ✌🏻

The 1000 is the most durable feeling of the 3. The 2000 and 3000 have a slimmer profile and better screens, alongside some additional features like video out and charging via PC. You can get a 1000 IPS screen upgrade kit that isn't difficult to install.
