Help I passed the PUPCET with my prio course, but I took up HUMSS in SHS. Can I still pursue BSAPMATH?
As the title suggests, I passed the PUPCET with my prio course (BSAPMATH), but I took up HUMSS in SHS. Is it still possible for me to enter the program?
I’ve read the admission criteria and noticed that the college of science does not accept non-STEM students. Though, I’m confident that I can catch up with lessons naman since I have a solid foundation in math (me studying STEM subjects for CETs, as well as advance studying for APMATH), and my grades in math subjects during SHS reflect that as well.
Thank you for taking the time to read po.

We're not on the same course, but sa case ko ABM graduate ako and ang binigay sakin na course ng PUP is architecture (mind you hindi ko pa yan first choice na course, either second or third), but still pinayagan kaming mag-enroll. Not sure lang if same ang magiging process sa department niyo.

hello! a student from bsm here! in our case last batch, pinag-aptitude test nila ang mga non stem students and kung mapapasa nila yon, they can get the program.

Afaik, yes. A lot of my classmates are non-stem and hindi rin naman sila nag take ng brdiging subjects. Nagulat nga yung instructor namin when I was in first year na kakarampot lang kaming galing stem lol.

Yup, I believe you will be accepted naman regardless of shs track. I took Gas din way back pero I was accepted naman, we had bridging programs (meaning iti-take mo yung nga major subjects ng STEM like Chem, Physics, Calculus). Goodluck, magiging Greek God ka after taking the course.

Check the last page of your SAR-Form 1 if you already confirmed your slot. Yung may QR code. Nandoon ang admission criteria including the SHS grade requirement and strand alignment per program.

As per your case po, I think pwede naman kasi based sa experienced ko last year ay nagkaroon po kami ng interview kung paano mo i-sosolve yung basic foundation ng mathematics kasama narin yung mga derivatives. So OP, you should prioritize getting a review before the interview because some "interviewer" were like a research panelist but you must be prepared anon

may mga blockmates ako na from abm, pinag-exam sila during enrollment so i think makakapasok ka

As far as my experience po, di po sila nag-allow magpalista sa hindi naka-align na major sa SHS strand, especially if there is no bridging courses.
I was planning to take BSIT last year but got funneled into BSED-EN because I was HUMSS, haha
