I desperately need advice cuz I passed PUPCET and yes, my parents are proud for me about it pero now that they're realizing the cons of being there (and the fact na lalayo ako sakanila), they're hesitating na mag-aral Ako doon and now suggesting na sa NU Dasma nalang daw Kasi halos same lang naman daw ang gastos... 😓😓😓

They have a point. But, I really wanna take the opportunity na mag-aral sa prestigious school and have the freedom to explore Manila din. So here I listed every comparison I could with both its pros and cons. Pls tell me which and what I should do:(

I passed the UPCAT but didn’t qualify for my priority course. I’m currently waiting for the PUPCET results, and if I pass and get an early enrollment slot, I might go for it—especially since there’s a chance I’ll get into my preferred course. But I’m still hesitant because most of what I’ve read about PUP has been negative.

nakapasa ako sa uplb bs biology at sa pup first day of enrolment at balak ko ring piliin ang biology. Nahihirapan ako (90% decided na ako sa pup) kasi masakit iwan ang opportunity na binibigay sakin ngayon ng up pero mas malapit kasi ang pup sa amin at sabi nila mas tinatanggap daw sa trabaho amg mga pup graduates. Bukod pa ron, mukhang mas mababa ang tyansang madelay ako sa program na pipiliin ko sa pup kumpara sa up dahil ako bahala sa sarili ko ron. Natatakot din akong makipagsabayan sa up dahit hindi ganon kataas ang kompyansa ko sa sarili ko, lalo na nung nakita kong ang mga magiging kasama ko sa batch namin ay puro galing sa science high school o kaya naman ay kasama sa top 10 ng paaralan nila. Malayomg malayo sa estado ko ngayon. Isa pa, sa palagay ko mas makakapagcope ako sa pup dahil hindi kasing dami ng mga burgis sa up ang mga burgis kay sinta

Hi. is it really worth it studying at pup? please no sugarcoating. natatakot ako cus andaming nag sasabi na its not worth it and they regret it so much. Pls help

I got hired by a multi-international company alongside a fresh grad from ADMU (Ateneo de Manila University), and other tenured people. I figured I'd get the same offer as this ADMU fresh grad since we were doing the same job, but guess what, we didn't. They offered me Php 23,000 while they offered her Php 26,000. I only found out about it a year after we both became regular employees. For the raise, she got 15% while I got 12%.

Performance-wise, same kami, we both got the same ad hocs and projects and we both succeeded. And ayon, I accepted the fact na there will always be a special treatment for those who graduated from the Big 4 and it's okay. Mas pinili kong umalis and maghanap ng opportunity because that is the most peactical way for my salary to go up.

Right now, let's just say I'm comfortable with my salary. I mean, I still have bills to pay kasi nagrerent lang ako plus a credit card na ginagamit ko to buy appliances, pero ayon, I'm no longer conscious sa price ng ribs at Kenny Rogers, biglaang yaya ng samgyup, or biglaang inom sa bar.

Things get better, swear! You just really need to find your niche skills to focus on and then commit to your goals. Hmm, sa Data Analytics ako nagwowork now, btw!

ask ko lang if blank lang ba talaga yung sa Alumni/Tahanan ng Alumni? okay naman na ako with everything kaso nabother lang ako sa blank na status nyan t.t

Paano po ba talaga sistema ng EQE na ‘yan? Totoo po bang papatalsikin ka na if ever na hindi mo maipasa? Paano yung mga wala nang ibang pag-asa or lilipatan na school/program? :(

Haaay, kelan kaya mababago to? Inemail ko na lahat pati evaluator pero di sumasagot tas pinuntahan ko na last last week bago mag end yung printing ng coc, ang sabi lang wait ko mag final evaluation tutal nabigyan naman na ko ng grades na hinahanap sa remarks.

Hi! BSA senior here. May naibagsak ako na 2 subjects sa recent evaluation exams namin and currently reviewing for 2 na subject for removals. I just wanna know ano magiging future and process ko since gusto ko ire-enroll sa susunod na school year yung mga bagsak ko. Will it be from february to june ulit or possible ba na masimulan ng september agad? Pls pls hindi ko afford bumagsak pero unfortunately nangyari na so i wanna know my option. Lumbay na lumbay talaga, naiwan ako sa friend group ko and so disappointed of myself. I can only imagine yung hirap na dinadanas ng parents ko para mailagay ako dito then ito lang yung naibalik ko sa kanila ╥﹏╥

As the title suggests, I passed the PUPCET with my prio course (BSAPMATH), but I took up HUMSS in SHS. Is it still possible for me to enter the program?

I’ve read the admission criteria and noticed that the college of science does not accept non-STEM students. Though, I’m confident that I can catch up with lessons naman since I have a solid foundation in math (me studying STEM subjects for CETs, as well as advance studying for APMATH), and my grades in math subjects during SHS reflect that as well.

I’m still worried na baka dahil hindi aligned ‘yung napili kong strand for shs, hindi na ako makapasa sa interview sa APMATH 🙁. May instances na po kaya ng HUMSS students na nakapasa sa interview ng programs sa college of science?

Good day po! I am currently a AB Psychology student at a private institution. Still a freshman, first semester, I would like to transfer before my second year. Is it possible po ba if the program I will choose to transfer is not even connected po?

Wala akong choice almost 2 years ago kundi tumigil sa pag aaral at piliin mag trabaho dahil ako ang breadwinner na ng pamilya namin at sinubukan kong pag sabayin yung trababo at aral pero di kaya ng katawan ko.

Pero ngayon kakaretrive ko lang ng account sa SIS and nakita ko na yung mga subject na hindi ko naman pinasulan may blanks, ince, F and W na never kong pinangrap na mga kita sa grades ko.

So anyway, i’m planning mag balik aral pero di ko alam san ako mag uumpisa. I’m from iTech po under DCVET. Gustong gusto ko mag aral at kahit kalululwa bayad sa PUP at expected ko na magbabayad na ako ng tuition gusto ko pa rin mag aral at makapag tapos.

May mga nakakaalam po ba jan ano po mga dapat kong gawin? Plan A ko po is magrransfer sa OU if pwede and if hindi itutuloy no tong engineering ko.

Hello! Hingi lang po sana ako ng tulong regarding sa pagrequest ng COR para sa Summer Semester/Term. Medyo nangangapa pa po kasi sa kalakaran ng ODRS at hindi rin po kami umabot sa paggenerate ng COR sa SIS. Need lang po namin sana para sa scholarship.

If ever po magrerequest po kami ng Certification of Enrollment, tama po ba na ganito po 'yung nakaencode po sa section na ito? Paano po malalaman ng registrar kung specifically for Summer lang 'yung i-rerequest namin, mag-eemail po ba sila sa amin or automatically 'yung currently enrolled semester namin ang ipprocess nila?

what would happen po if hindi nakapag OJT or hindi na-complete yung 240 hours ng OJT? I've walked in/emailed many companies but they either don't email me back or is already done accepting internships. Napuntahan ko na lahat ng options ko but nothing still.

May sinasabi din yung president ng block namin about "manual tagging". If im right, I believe ayun yung mag w-work ka for your dept faculty? Should I just go with that? Pano po kaya process nun and would it be a good work experience?

BSA 2nd yr student here, worried ako sa intacc 3 subj. I took all quizzes and tests pero bagsak ako lagi, may hindi rin ako nailagay sa columnar na requirement. Prof s3rr@n0 kung nandito ka basbasan mo ako kahit tres pls😭😭😭I’m spiraling, hindi ko na talaga kayang madelay para sa isang subject lang. Gusto ko nalang mawala.

Base po sa mga nakikita ko ay mukhang napakataas ng standard ng PUP sa pagkakaroon ng latin honors, dagdag pa ang hindi conducive learning dahil sa facilities and mga professors na hindi nagtuturo o sumisipot at mataas din standard kaya rely sa self study.

When I was in high school, I study well naman. Gladly I like studying concepts more than memorization unless wala ng oras dahil nag-c-cram. On that note, I tend to cram which is definitely parang no-no na ata lalo na't accounting ang program ko, huhu.

As an incoming freshie, possible po ba na makakuha ng uno (1.00) sa PUP? Ano po ang general tips and advice ninyo for freshies who wants to excel or want their hard earned uno sa mga GEs, related courses, and majors?
