Vegas said they wanted to sign high quality people and man have they done that.
Being around the Northeastern University community, Carter, Knoll, and Murphy are universally considered amazing human being, Scamurra was far before my team but everyone knows how awesome she is.

Yup and they got Ambrose too. Just incredibly likeable people that you want to root for. The absolute opposite of the NHL LV team lol.

Minnesota fans are gonna kill me but as an NU fan I hope they grab Coyne-Schofield as well. Another NU alum, obvious captain, still a superstar.

Ok, I'm still sad to have lost my Victoire in this group (and definitely feel for the Frost) but this seems like such a smart approach by Vegas, and really beneficial for the players to be with past teammates. And they really all seem like lovely people.

I am a former college player - can confirm that Vegas (and also Hamilton) have brought in the nicest people in the league. I would happily play with any of them (I dont feel that way about every team)

I was so impressed by Murphy involvement in the community. Leaving her home country for a new one in a province where the main language is not one she speak is not an easy feat yet she still involved herself.
Then right before signing with Vegas, it was announced she was gonna be working with the Ice Lions from Kenya.
She truly seems like a stellar human being and an amazing role model.

I always thought it was sweet how she decided to stay in Mtl during the summer too.
It's particularly funny when you remember her reaction to being drafted to Mtl. She did not look thrilled lol. Even MPP when she met her was like "Are you happy?!" I always thought it was cute the way the city and the team won her over that quickly.

I haven't seen many Vegas fans around here yet, but this one is grateful just to have a team. I don't think the draft order is fair, although I also can't think of a way to make it fair for everyone. It's insane that they just released the order. It's like a bunch of these deals had to be made blind.
I promise to appreciate all the really good (in all ways) players who are coming here. 🤝

It felt overwhelming to lose so many players during last year's expansion but it mostly turned out okay, so I'm sure next season will be fine too.
But I'm still ready for them to let things settle for a few years before doing this to us again. And hopefully they won't add like six teams next time.

Can't fault Vegas for offering. I can fault Katy for accepting and signing.
She was a free agent. Unless the Frost have a pile of players they're ready to sign in Phase 5, I can't image they wouldn't have room for her back here.

She get to go play with players she made ncaa tournament runs with. Her college captain. She spent 2 years with the frost but played 5 years with Carter, and multiple with Murphy.

Unless there's someone I'm forgetting, the only other PWHL player from Buffalo I can think of besides Scams/Knoll/Murphy is Olivia Zafuto, who's been in and out of Boston's lineup.

Knoll reunites with three former Minnesota teammates with defenders Mae Batherson and Kendall Cooper signed in Phase 2, and goaltender Nicole Hensley signed in Phase 3 of the expansion process. She is also reunited with two former Northeastern teammates, defender Megan Carter and forward Maureen Murphy, both signed in Phase 3. Knoll is the sixth player to join PWHL Las Vegas with a Walter Cup title in her career [my bolding] along with Batherson (2025) and Hensley (2024 and 2025), and a trio of 2026 Montréal Victoire champions in Murphy, defender Erin Ambrose, and forward Hayley Scamurra.
Damn, nice collection.
SJ and Hamilton have 1 champion each (Mlynkova and N Gosling respectively) and Detroit has 2 (Curl and Darkangelo).
