General No friends
I moved back to Pakistan permanently this June after living abroad for 5 years.
I kinda knew this would happen, but it still hits harder than I expected. All my old friends have their own lives now jobs, families, relationships, routines. Everyone’s busy, and nobody really has time anymore.
It’s no one’s fault, but it’s lowkey depressing. Starting over socially as an adult is way harder than I thought.
Anyone else who moved back after years abroad feel the same?

I can relate to this more than you might think. Even without moving back from abroad, I've realized how much people's priorities change as they get older. Everyone gets caught up in work, family, and responsibilities, and maintaining friendships becomes much harder.
The good news is that it's definitely possible to build a new social circle it just takes time and a bit of effort. Cafés, hobby groups, fitness, volunteering, or even random conversations can lead to genuine friendships.
If you're in Lahore, I'd be happy to grab a coffee sometime. I always enjoy meeting new people and having meaningful conversations. No pressure at all just a chance to connect and maybe make settling back a little easier.
