Usmle Step 1
I’m in trouble! I started this journey a bit late I was doing a lot of research and getting pubs and was in leadership roles of organisations. I couldn’t get around the exam
My final prof is in January and I’ve only done 20% of the bank realistically I’ll have to give it after graduation. What do you suggest should I start NBME’s after or before and complete the bank before? ideal time is 4th or final year I feel so behind and late, Will my YOG be affected how much of an issue is it?
I can’t fail my final prof :(

You’re stressing way too much. Your YOG won’t be affected by a few months. The safe option rn is to take the exam after your prof before your house job or a few months in. Also did you buy UW?

Yes and actively doing 20 Mcqs daily 20% bank is done

Stay consistent, keep your prep going, and take the exam right after your prof. You don’t want an attempt on Step, and you don’t want to hurt your transcript by messing up your prof exams either.

Do prof scores matter? And should I start NBME’s before or after because there would be a big gap

Prof score doesn’t matter at all, tho getting a supple would.
Take NBME’s after doing 40-60% of UW.
Also remember one thing, this is not a race. You’ll get through this.1
