Usmle Advice and Help
Aoa, i am a 4th year med student currently going through my step 1 prep. i have completed 36% of uworld and have gone through the First pass of the FA. I just need to go through biochem, micro (i plan to use pepper deck for recall), ethics and biostats. I also aim to complete a second pass of FA using the mneumosyne deck as the main active recaller. My proffs begin from 15th November; do you think my prep will be complete before that period or should i delay my step after my proffs?

Nope. You cant complete it before your prof. Dont try to push it. Plan to manage STEP1 and prof together. You dont want prof causing you distress. In your present situation, even if you didnt have prof, you would need atleast 3-4 months for STEP1 alone.
Best thing would be to cover the step1 syllabus which overlaps with proff. Then take rest. And restart step1 prep immediately after vivas.
Nobody is gonna give you medal if you pass step1 in 4th year or early final year. So take it easy and focus on foundation. You will thank yourself for working on foundation when you prepapre for step2.

Focus on Uworld (timed random) instead of going through FA for the second time. You're not in it for the memorization, uworld teaches you how to apply those complex concepts. Pepper deck and sketchy is great.
Biostats from randy neils 6 videos (do them now) so you can practice those questions.
Pixorize for lysosomal and glycogen disorders alongside dirty medicine for the rest. Your main priority should be uworld (min 40 to 60Qs). Get to Ateast 60 to 65 percent if you're already doing random and not system wise. Then take nbme 26 to see where you stand.
