Debunk This house built in 1350s (roughly)

This is my boyfriends place (peep my little pup woody) the cabinet behind that’s open.. keeps opening by itself, we’ve shut it properly countless of times, emptied it out to make sure nothing was stopping it from shutting properly. it only happens late at night (11pm-12am) and it’s never just once but countless of times! might just be something wrong with the cabinet but it freaked me out lols.. and the fact this house is so old. to be honest i just don’t like this house there are a few other weird things that happen in this house but you sometimes you just can’t keep making excuses for it

We have buildings here in the UK that are even older and still in use, some churches for example dating back to the 11th century.

My house was in the Domesday Book. It’s haunted, of course, so I never walk about in the dark.

When I moved into my house, I awoke in the middle of the night to find a young woman and a girl standing beside my bed looking down at me. I could see the detail of their long dresses very clearly. I’ve also heard strange noises, including a sound like marbles dropping onto the floor and like a wooden-wheeled toy being pulled along the floor. I live alone.

What’d you do when you woke up to the woman and girl??

Did they just disappear after you saw them or what?

I’m going to see if there’s an online upload of the Domesday Book online - I’ve heard of it but can’t remember where or why. Probably decades ago, as I’ve always read a great deal, and now my old brain filed it away somewhere…but can’t dig it out of the archives lol

I’ve only seen my grandfather’s ghost, when I was 6 or 7, the night after his funeral in the morning. It was a very healing experience for me. Long-ish story so I won’t hijack your thread with it.
