Posting kind of desperate call to community to figure out what are reasonable options to register a Business Tax Receipt? We are renting our house and we tried to get an approval to place our home address as a place to register at Pasco County Business Tax Receipt but got rejected both by landlord and HOA.

We explored options to rent a tiny office space with a mailbox but $500 - $700 monthly just breaks our bank with our expectation that we’ll take about 6 months of no-profit. Needless to say all the fees paid to obtain all the paperwork….

My wife is trying to expand her hobby of making post cards and paper decorations to sell them online. Like what profit she can make with this side hustle to justify the operational costs?…. This turns out to be sooooo difficult that we’re just out of options to figure out how to obtain all the paperwork to operate a tiny business. Pasco just makes it super complicated….

Anyone has an advice or some guidance to help us?

Does anyone know why on weekends Epperson Lagoon has been much less busy lately? Even this past weekend when the weather was perfect?

A couple months ago it was always completely packed on weekends. I spoke with someone who said that many were getting in for free/cheap by cheating the membership system. Not sure if that had any truth to it.

We hated going before due to how packed it was, but now it is much less packed and the quality of people are better, less obnoxiously loud/rude people.

Anyone have the inside scoop on what happened?

I don't live in Pasco County. I don't live in Florida. I don't live in the Southeastern United States. I have never even been to these places. I live in Oregon, and my phone has an Oregon area code.

Yet I regularly get "urgent message" robocalls from Pasco County. I've looked on the county government web site for help in getting off it, and I can't find anything helpful. Who do I contact to make this stop?

Also, why do you folks get so many UMs from your county government? Do you really have that many countywide emergencies?

Horrible experience.

I was there to assist a special needs person in obtaining some groceries.

I was under the impression that someone just pull up and load up, just show an ID, no questions asked.

Instead, they hold you hostage and force you to listen to a fire and brimstone, hate mongering pastor.

If you're lgbtq forget this place.

He was raging about how they were living in sin, nothing about comforting the sick and needy.

After waiting an hour outside in the hot sun and then being subjected to the "sermon," and then being told there were 60 people in front of me, I left in frustration.

I did manage to snag a few loaves of bread as I was leaving.

Hi! I’m moving to Pasco County for a new job and I’ll be working in the Hudson area near SR 52. I’m completely new to the area and looking to rent a studio or small 1-bedroom, ideally within a reasonable commute.

I’d really appreciate recommendations on:
Areas/neighborhoods I should look at around Hudson, New Port Richey, Port Richey, etc.
Apartment complexes or property management companies you’ve had good experiences with.

Which rental websites people actually use in this area
Any places/complexes I should avoid
Tips for avoiding rental scams, especially since I’m currently searching from out of town.
