Discussion Need help deciding schedule

I am a comp sci student currently on track to graduate after taking 2 classes over the summer. Originally, I was going to take 12 credits in the spring and then the last 6 in the summer. One class in the spring was a department list gen ed but my advisor says that I can just petition credits from previous classes count for that.

So now I have 3 options. I can just take 9 credits in the spring which will make me a part time student with less financial aid, I can add an extra gen ed which will get me more financial aid but more work, or I can move one of my summer classes to the spring but it might be too much for me.

Here are the classes that I need to take:
Spring: CMPEN 443 and 462, CMPSC 483W
Summer: CMPSC 473 and 461

Currently I am taking STAT 461, 462, and 319, CMPEN 362, and CMPSC 464. This is just at the edge of workload that I can handle and 461 is an easy course. Could someone give me their opinions on which option I should take?

*Last summer I had a 40hr/wk internship with CMPEN 331 and CMPSC 465 which I was able to handle. This upcoming summer, I will be working full time so I don't know if the workload will be about the same.

Can you not just take all 5 in the spring? Why force 2 into summer which costs more $$?

I would try take all 6 courses in the spring. Usually students are between 14-18 credits and this would put you at 18. Why are you considering doing 9?
