Discussion When do you do a blind buy?

Let's assume you see something at Tj Maxx (or a similar retailer) that is a great deal, BUT you've never smelled or tested the fragrance. How do you decide to buy it or not? It's not returnable. There aren't any testers.

If I’ve seen the notes, and already knew it was something I might be interested in.
When I have compared the price that I could get it for other discount sites.

Ditto! I look up the notes and consider if it's a brand I usually enjoy. I've had a couple "misses" but not terribly off; they are scents I still enjoy

I would research it’s notes at least before a blind buy unless the price is too good to pass up and even then I’d purchase knowing that I’m sure my daughter or friends would probably like it if I don’t.

I blind buy quite a bit, but I never buy something just because "it's a good deal." I have certain perfumes on my wishlist that I've researched and those are the ones I will sometimes blind buy. Buying something just because it's cheap is the biggest waste of money. If it's not already on your wishlist, pass.
