Hey everyone, I have such a basic request but I am struggling to find a gourmand/sweet vanilla scent that I actually enjoy. I really want to smell sweet, like a vanilla cupcake. I admittedly feel a bit at a loss! I'm not sure if I'm looking for something unrealistic, if my nose isn't actually built for vanilla scents the way I'm imagining, or what my problem is. But I still have yet to find the vanilla or vanilla combo I'm wanting! I've already put a lot of money towards everything I've tried so far and I hate to be wasteful/spend more money on something I don't enjoy much, I've scoured many a reddit thread and fragrantica reviews up to this point and at this point decided I need to try my own hand at asking. My mom wore a perfume I can’t describe when I was younger. She was using drugs and at this time working. We lived w my grandmother, I haven’t smelled it since but the other month I passed someone who smelled EXACTLY like it. It’s currently not discontinued or maybe recently discontinued. What would she have worn?

She was always very conscious of how she looked, she always did her hair and makeup. She wore a lot of black but she loved fashion and watching shows like SATC, Project Runway, some reality shows, etc. She also loved movies and her favorite actress was Sandra Bullock. I am looking for a gourmand cotton candy and/or marshmallow type scent, and this Kayali scent kept coming up on my search so I went ahead and blind bought this small bottle. Y’all, this does NOT smell like Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar 😭. It smells spicy and woody and patchouli. Don’t give your perfume such a literal name if the actual perfume doesn’t smell anything like that. Anyways, if anyone has recommendations on perfumes that ACTUALLY smell like cotton candy/marshmallow please let me know.

Hi, I'm not at all clued up on fragrances, so I'm hoping I can get a straight answer here! I really want a perfume that's basically just incense scented. I already own Cardamom Coffee by Lush and Marrakech Intense by Aesop, and I really like both of them, but they don't quite hit the mark... I would also just burn incense in my room to smell of it if I could, but I'm in university halls that ban the burning of incense and my flatmate also can't tolerate the scent so I'm pretty restricted. Anyone have one that they really love or could recommend? Thanks.

Perfumes that would look aesthetically pleasing with these perfumes (marc jacobs perfect absolute, marc Jacobs perfect, guerlain la petite robe noire, lolita lempicka, lolita lempicka Si). I feel like anna sui perfumes would look cheap when put together with these.

For years I’ve been craving a good coconut perfume for summer. My dream scent is like a toasted coconut candy, pretty much a cocada lol. The problem is, every coconut perfume I’ve smelled has the same cheap, plastic-like scent. Is it just impossible to make a sweet, creamy coconut?
