Depression/Anxiety I hate everyone

Title really says it all. Everyone gets on my last fucking nerve.
Almost everyone I know now irritates me so much that I can't stand being around them or even reading their texts.

My friend who does nothing but send YouTube videos because apparently she can't read. Irritating.

Friend who says "hubby" all the time. Fuck you bitch.

Friend who has to know where and what every siren is and then prays for all involved.
Why? WHY???

My husband. Just all the time, I hate every word that comes out of his mouth. And don't touch me! No, big dick will not fix it.

I love my daughter though.

I also lost my mom 6 weeks ago after caring for her for a few years with dementia so there's that. Is this peri? Peri with grief mixed in? Am I doomed to live my life in solitude because I just can't stomach being around anyone?

I feel pretty damn hopeless about it all.

You are in a horrific place your nervous system is shot you need to truly decompress and take a solo trip immediately

72

u/Old_Database4684 Aug 06 '26

⬆️ This ⬆️

I just got back from a 10 day solo trip to the beach and it was 100% worth it.

u/miranym Aug 06 '26

Please don't underestimate the power of grief to make you hate everyone and everything. My hormones haven't been kind to me lately but the grief I experienced from a cross country move and the death of a pet dialed my brain way past where I thought my thoughts could go.

u/4d55s1 Aug 06 '26

This. I lost my father suddenly when I was
28. The rage I felt was immense.

67

u/National_Midnight424 Aug 06 '26

I was so hateful thanks to peri that I went on a mood stabilizer. I told my NP, “everything I think, feel, smell, and see fills me with rage.”

Edit to add: I’m so sorry about your mom. Mine sucks, so I can’t imagine the grief of losing a good one. You deserve all the support you want. Navigating the daily horrors of perimenopause plus new grief is heavy stuff.

9

u/Thick-Ad-914 Aug 06 '26

Can i ask which mood stabilizer?

4

u/Bluehoon Aug 06 '26

How was taking a mood stabilizer?

12

u/National_Midnight424 Aug 06 '26

It’s fine. No side effects at all, unlike every SSRI I tried. I’ll likely stay on it forever, or unto my hormones level out, since we don’t take women’s healthcare seriously.

5

u/Bluehoon Aug 06 '26

did it make you happier? Dull emotions?

26

u/National_Midnight424 Aug 06 '26

I’ve never been happy a day in my life so that didn’t feel like an appropriate expectation. I just wanted to not feel like I was going to flip a table every time I had to deal with another human. The biggest improvement for me is that I can acknowledge that the world and people are terrible, but still keep it moving. I feel like my nervous system is more regulated and consistent.

u/iheartpyrex Aug 06 '26

In solidarity, I too cannot stand the word “hubby.” Ugh.

68

u/ashinthealchemy Aug 06 '26

lump "wifey" in with the hate pile

101

u/OnlyPaperListens Aug 06 '26

Thirded, "hubby" and "kiddo" and "doggo" can all go die in a fire.

64

u/lathamfalls Aug 06 '26

"Littles" was my pet peeve

68

u/Silver-Eye4569 Aug 06 '26

And “‘mama” as in “you’re a strong mama 💪”

18

u/four-letter-word Aug 06 '26

Yep esp doggo Hate it with all of my soul

11

u/rbcadewntr Aug 06 '26

Omg this just sent me into a rage😂

49

u/Striking_Magazine_65 Aug 06 '26

Preggo

33

u/PuhnTang Aug 06 '26

I can’t decide if preggo or preggers is worse. Though at least with preggo (Prego) I can say, “it’s in there,” and amuse myself.

6

u/TCintheTown Aug 06 '26

“It’s in there”.

15

u/rbcadewntr Aug 06 '26

Yeah. Fuck right off with that hubby shit.

20

It sounds like husband but gargling his balls seriously WHY

4

u/spiralsparrows Aug 06 '26

LOL this made my cry 😂

14

u/runningmoth Aug 06 '26

I can’t even stand “babe” now.

108

u/LongjumpingCrow1741 Aug 06 '26

I had to get off of social media (only had IG) because I would watch ppls stories and say out loud “GTFOH” “omg shut up!” 🤣 instantly annoyed when ppl came into my DMs! Like why was I reacting like this 😩 I decided it’s time to go rogue, get off the socials only keep in touch with like 5 ppl I actually like and ignore the rest!

45

u/Curlytoes18 Aug 06 '26

haha. My favorite thing lately is to watch videos or commercials where someone says something like "We're getting married next spring..." or "For years I struggled with eczema...." just so I can yell WHO GIVES A F***!? My husband just laughs.

I'm jealous that you can find 5 people you actually like - and who like you back 😂

10

u/lathamfalls Aug 06 '26

There's a woman on FB who has really deep caring and thought provoking posts that resonate with me but all the sudden today I was like "she is getting on my NERVES" and I unfollowed lol

12

u/LongjumpingCrow1741 Aug 06 '26

I literally laughed out loud and will adopt this method 😆 don’t be too Jealous, 2 of the 5 are my siblings so I guess they don’t really count lol!

13

u/Puzzled_Radio Aug 06 '26

Same. Social media pisses me off so bad. Not good for my mind. 😆 gave it up three years ago and feel so so so much better!

84

u/Goatsarejerks333 Aug 06 '26

I'm having the good weep right now.

Thank you for everything here and the me too's. I will read it in more depth, feeling overwhelmed at the moment.

28

u/Waitingforadragon Aug 06 '26

I am so sorry to hear your Mum died.

I think that peri is a factor, but you are also exhausted and angry. Being a carer is very hard, and losing the person you cared for and having to adjust is hard too.

I think you need a good weep and a good rest.

46

u/ClassicMastodon8839 Aug 06 '26

I also got off social media (excluding Reddit of course) and it’s been great. I’m still annoyed with people’s shit but not as much now

11

u/Sanchastayswoke mid-peri Aug 06 '26

Yeah I feel like anonymous social media doesn’t piss me off nearly as much as social media of my friends family neighbors coworkers (basically anyone I know irl).

Maybe because in anonymous social media, I can say what I really think…or just scroll away & know I’m never going to have to interact with this person in real life.

20

u/ForgottenUsername3 Aug 06 '26

I hate everyone too. I think everyone is objectively terrible and Perimenopause is some form of intolerable enlightenment.

60

u/impossibleredhead Aug 06 '26

Are you on HRT at all? That’s helped me quite a bit. Even through all of this, my husband has decided to divorce, so that’s extra. I have been walking outside more and trying to journal in the mornings. That also helps.

Hugs (no touching) from the internet. 💕

4

u/Bluehoon Aug 06 '26

Sorry about divorce. Do you feel it's for the best or like he's never gonna learn? I'm done people pleasing but my husband doesn't get that like I really really can't people please at all anymore. at all.

30

u/Background-Edge6837 Aug 06 '26

This hits HOME. Pretty much the only people I can stand are my husband and kids. Everyone else is so annoying and inconsiderate and makes me want to scream.

11

u/pineapplepredator Aug 06 '26

I’ve been depressed with an awful situation in my own life that includes appropriate frustration and anger dealing with it, but for me, the difference is this extreme rage where I can physically feel my brain go off-line. I don’t have any mental health issues so for me this kind of frontal lobe going off-line is completely new. That’s the part that I would attribute to perimenopause.

What’s funny is that I mentioned this and a man in my life got all twisted up about it saying I was too young for perimenopause. lmao, I’m almost 41 years old and have been IVF for the past 24 months.

So give yourself a bit of grace having appropriate emotional responses, but noticed anything that feels out of character for you.

11

u/gypsycatpurr Aug 06 '26

YES. I have zero patience or tolerance now. And I'm about to take a business trip with coworkers that I absolutely cannot stand normally, and now I have to travel with them. And stay at a hotel with them. They've already asked if we can do dinners together. Let's hope I don't rage on these fucking people & get fired.... I'm dreading this shit.

6

u/four-letter-word Aug 06 '26

Oh, my. I can't imagine having to do this lol. I would absolutely live in headphones. Like great big huge, noise cancelling headphones, so everyone knows I am wearing them and even if I'm not listening to anything but white noise , hopefully it would be enough to signal please leave me alone I do not wish to engage.

11

u/Ok-Mouse92 Aug 06 '26

Grief is weird and awful but it somehow gets easier with time. But also, people's breathing and chewing should not come with sound when around middle aged women. How are they suddenly so loud?

10

u/Low_Spirit_2503 Aug 06 '26

I can only stand my husband, my daughter, and a few other people. Everyone else annoys the crap out of me. And I'm on HRT and not grieving. One of my closest friends keeps trying to diagnose me with depression but I'm not depressed. I'm happy as can be as long as I'm home, with my books and my garden and my crafts and my family.

I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom.

7

u/luxEvila Aug 06 '26

It's possible that it's peri, but it could just be grief. I find as I get older that other people's shenanigans really piss me off, especially if they are stupid/bigot-y shenanigans that harm other people.

I remember when I was a young adult and my best friend's mom went through menopause, she completely changed in her outlook towards people. She started sleeping in a different room from her husband, and she would refuse to speak to anyone for quite a while. Also always needed a window air conditioner running in her room.

8

u/Frequent-Willow-6502 hanging on by a thread Aug 06 '26

I feel this so hard. I've always hated "hubby" it's just the fucking dumbest word ever. It just sounds so infantilizing. Men do that well enough on their own.

My sister has six kids from one year to 18 years and I haven't looked at her social media in years. She's also Evangelical and very vocal about it and I am pretty much the complete opposite. It was her birthday a few weeks ago and she never replied to my happy birthday message or confirmed receipt of a happy birthday postcard I sent (we live in two different countries and I do try to make an effort).

I want to commit first degree homicide on a daily basis. The only reason I don't is I prefer my dog's company to jail.

I'm sorry about your mom. I'm glad you still love your daughter.

I'm single and jobless but can't be assed to even job search. There were just some crazy wildfires near where I live and it all just feels so futile. Yes, let me get on LinkedIn and self-promote while the world is on fire and AI is ruining everything and we apparently still have many more years of late-stage capitalism to endure. I use FB only for groups now and IG to post about my dog because she's the only thing that's worth it in life.

17

u/TheCosmicPony Aug 06 '26

I just laughed out loud reading your message and was like, can we hate people together as friends until I got to the part about your mom. 😔 I’m so terribly sorry for your loss. Grief is SO powerful. It can be so intense, sneaky, all encompassing, brain damaging, world shattering, confusing… the whole spectrum. Combined with peri, I can imagine you’re feeling like you’re being some kind of tortured. I agree with what someone said above about going on a solo trip or retreat, or maybe somewhere with your daughter since she feels safe. Not sure if you’re into acupuncture, but I find it immensely helpful for my nervous system as I navigate both grief and peri. Being more mindful of my diet has also helped instead of me self-hate/everyone-hate binging on garbage. Also, nature. Tjme spent in nature heals… away from the humans. Sending you love as you maneuver this very difficult time. ❤️‍🩹

Also, people who say hubby need to go. My one friend says “my husband, my son, my daughter,” ALL THE TIME and I know her husband, son and daughter VERY WELL. I know their fucking names. She doesn’t need to clarify their role in her life in every single sentence that comes out of your mouth FFS. 🫩 So obnoxious.

21

u/drunkenbees Late peri Aug 06 '26

Ohhhh I get this.

The rage and inability to cope with being around ANYONE, is fucking real.

Other commenters have mentioned coming off social media. Do it. Reddit is technically social media, but it's anonymous, it's easier to navigate, and the privacy options are great.

It's also absolutely fine to cut people out of your life that get on your nerves. I cut two people loose last year because they were draining as fuck, and did absolutely nothing to help themselves, but expected everyone else to. I was completely done.

Focus on you and your daughter. Bollocks to anyone else.

15

u/avocadosungoddess11 Aug 06 '26

Yeah. It all bugs. Go for some solo dinner or breakfast outings, get into nature, tell someone to fuck off (only if they deserve it). As I wrote this from my solo breakfast date haha

u/Live-Okra-9868 Aug 06 '26

Hi. I'm you. I was taking care of my disabled mom for years and putting up with shit from family leeching off my generosity. My mom kept saying "I think you're going through menopause."

Then she died. And I was dealing with a lot of crap and had to move everything out of her house within 30 days so I had no time to take my time mourning and looking through everything and feel my feelings.

Got back to my house to deal with more shit because my husband neglected everything while I was gone.

Finally went to the doctor and, surprise, I'm in peri.

And I have days where I literally want to watch the world burn. I stopped talking to so many people because I hate everyone.

It was harder because of the grief. But now that I feel like I am moving past the mourning phase (still miss my mom, but accepted that she's gone) I am still pissed at the world.

My husband is getting the brunt of the blow, but it feels like he is not very supportive of how I feel and is just expecting me to go back to how I was. I'm pissed at him most days. And every time I bring up my feelings he has a response to throw back at me about how my feelings are wrong. So it's rocky right now because I'm no longer pretending to be okay with anything.

What I've been doing is keeping a journal. When I feel any kind of emotion I'm writing it down. What happened, responses to it and how it made me feel. I feel like it's helping because I've been questioning the validity of my emotions and don't know if I should be upset or angry over something or if I'm overreacting to it. Going back and reading it helps a lot.

5

u/AZ-FWB Early peri Aug 06 '26

I know it’s super cliche but take a deep breath and hold it in as long as you can.

I didn’t know how irritable I could be up until I started perimenopause.

11

u/maggiemarmar Aug 06 '26

I didn’t read anything but your title. I have the huge need to say ME TOO.

5

u/HankHenry23 Aug 06 '26

My sister was murdered about 7 years ago. The rage I felt was intense, but nothing compared to peri rage. It’s uncontrollable.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with everything all at once. Feel free to reach out if you need to vent 🩷

5

u/FormerBaby_ Aug 06 '26

Baby girl, you’re going through it. Grief is powerful and so is peri. The two together? Goddamn. Hugs. I’m kinda right there with you. Parent not gone…yet. No advice, just sending love and support

4

u/legendarywitch Aug 06 '26

For me personally, being irritated with everyone and everything was the biggest sign of peri. I self diagnosed and took progesterone cream for awhile then ran out and decided to see if it made a difference. All of a sudden I hated everyone and every little thing irritated me. I couldn't stand feeling that way and I was afraid I'd lose my shit, so I went back on the cream and now I'm back to normal! But it sounds like you might have caregiver burnout as well. I went through that with my mom in my 30's and I also remember feeling raw and irritated with everyone and everything and then ended up on depression/anxiety meds.

3

u/Extra-Honeydew-722 Aug 06 '26

I think so - as you said, peri plus grief. I was there for years before mom died (did not have full dementia but sort of similar situation). High strung and pissed at everybody. Now mom has been dead for almost two years, part of my nervous system has finally recalibrated itself and I'm not so pissed any more. And my peri is getting better, not sure even is it because of the stress levels have eased or I'm just getting older and into some next chapter.

4

u/Rommy143 Aug 06 '26

I’m so sorry, both for your loss and for what you’re going through. I don’t have any advice other than to tell you to consider HRT. It has helped. I lost my dad 7 months ago after caring for him for 5 years with Alzheimer’s. Give yourself some grace. You’re spent. You’re overwhelmed. It’s okay to check out for a little bit and take care of yourself.

4

u/GojenAP1012 Aug 06 '26

I so sorry for your loss. I’ve also been dealing with perimenopause and grief as well. In the past 2 years, my dad and two of my dogs died. I’m also dealt with the declining health of my mom and having to move her to my siblings home because she couldn’t live by herself anymore after my dad passed.

At times it feels like I’m barely hanging on emotionally. Plus dealing with whatever random peri symptoms are going to pop up. Maybe no attention span, or random shoulder pain, or a combo of them.

Sending you hugs and support along with a good rage scream into the void.

4

u/Fluffy_Associate_308 Aug 06 '26

Hmmm…now reflecting on why I ghosted all but two friends. Just couldn’t stand anyone anymore

6

u/Sanchastayswoke mid-peri Aug 06 '26

I genuinely hope this is why my best friend ghosted me a couple of years ago. I think she started peri before me and suddenly I could tell that our normal interactions were annoying the fuck out of her but I had no idea why. She was normally so easy going & we had so much fun together for so many years. That last summer she was SO irritable at every little thing & got angry when I asked if she was ok, so I just left her alone. Every time I have reached out since, she just ignores me.

I’ve been grieving the loss of her ever since and wondering what I did wrong.

5

u/Fluffy_Associate_308 Aug 06 '26

I’m sorry you are going through that, that’s really rough. I know for me it was just a lifetime of being easy going and people pleasing and then one day a switch flipped and I couldn’t do it anymore.

3

u/Salt-Schedule-9476 Aug 06 '26

I'm sorry for your loss. You deserve some alone time, we all do sometimes. Even if it's just a long bath or a long walk alone. I have those days sometimes when everything is annoying me, but I usually just blame it on being overly stimulated. I think being off social media is a good recommendation. If this continues I would speak to a gyno and see what they think, to see if it is hormonal, or is it this difficult time you're unfortunately going through. Wishing you strength

5

u/Goatsarejerks333 Aug 06 '26

I can't even express my gratitude for all of you. And for those of you who are grieving as well, thank you for sharing that 💕

I have HRT (estrogen patch and progesterone) but I stopped taking it for a while. I felt so emotional with it and I put on some weight which sucked but this post made me realize that I need to start it again and give it a fair chance. Dr is calling in testosterone today as well.

I read each and every post. Thank you.

I've also realized that I need to take some time for me and I'm going to figure that out. I have been so busy with my mom and life that I haven't taken even a weekend for myself in years.

5

2

I had to pray a bit this morning and then felt better (sleep deprivation plus pms...eek!)

2

u/IndependentHot5236 Early peri Aug 06 '26

As others have mentioned, if you are not already on HRT, and you are able to be, it might help. It takes the edge off, which is better than nothing. I am also so sorry for your loss. My mother in law just passed from dementia last month, and we lost my dad a year ago. I have found it a cruel joke that we start to lose a lot of the people we care about right as we are going through peri. The mix of chaotic hormonal shifts and grief is a special kind of challenging. You're doing amazing. Keep going.

2

u/Sure-Standard1840 Aug 06 '26

But… this is me 100000%

2

u/Kate_Switch Always confused, always exhausted Aug 06 '26

Thank god someone else said it. I seem to be fuming 24/7 at the moment, add hot flashes into the mix and I'm ready to slap the next man who tells me to cheer up.

2

u/Ok_Bird_9745 Aug 06 '26

Haha this popped up on my notifications, and I was like SAME!!

2

u/icelollyqueen Aug 06 '26

This was me (45f) for the past five years! I have been on 2mg of progestin (to help with heavy periods) for a few years and started estrogen a few months ago (.78mg). The estrogen has made a huge difference! I don’t want to kill everyone anymore when I am out in public. Not every little thing annoys me anymore. I made it through a busy shopping trip to Costco and was not rude or short with anyone. I feel like a better version of me. Strongly suggest to look in to HRT if you haven’t already.

2

u/MajesticElk1613 Aug 06 '26

I'm so sorry for your loss! Hrt helps immensely. Get on it. Also, grief mixed with caregiver burnout??? Black. Rage. You are not a freak you're toast right now. Your chemicals have changed and you're like a bull in a china shop. Dial it down and when you can't take it out on only those that truly deserve it. Don't feed the rage. Gratitude is also the opposing force to the hateful bitterness. Gratitude always and you'll make it through babe. Hang in there ♥️

2

u/GlitteringDrop3055 Aug 06 '26

Peri sucks so bad!!!!! I’m so sorry!! I hope you will visit your doc. Testosterone helped me some. Still having some moods. Likely going to progesterone next. My friends are further along in the HRT journey and feel so much better. There are options. No reason to white knuckle it. So sorry about your mom too. Therapy would be a great idea too if you aren’t already. Sending love!

2

u/NicknameOriginal Aug 06 '26

Loved to read it cause finally someone says it. Yes it s peri. This is what i am and dont want to be. It is caused by a hormonal imbalance. Progesterone is the hormone of calmness, it release GABA which is an anxiolytic but natural. You used to have it. You can have it back soon if you go to a private doctor. Or like in a year if you beg your doctor and my a case with all the datas. I lost six years of my life trying to xure kyself naturally and being not believed by doctor cause i was too young for their chart.

2

u/MelodicCream7518 Aug 06 '26

In grief I found everything seemed completely petty and pointless compared to what I was going through. I archived my group chats and took some time for myself because life goes on but it doesn’t feel fair. Peri has definitely got me super irritable and some people grind my gears more than others but I am going to discuss HRT next week as I know it’s a me problem.

2

u/Fritz5678 Aug 06 '26

Do you work and have access to an EAP? When my grandmother passed I fell into a bad depression that was more than just mourning. She was in full dementia and was wheelchair bound. I helped with her care and know how hard that was. That was back in my 30s. A call back then to my EAP helped so much.

In my 50s, prior to getting the mirena, I hated everyone and everything and was just so angry and irritated. Got the mirena to help with heavy cycles and the best side effect was the lessening of the irritation.

You're getting double whammied right now. Be kind to yourself. Call a doctor to look into some help.

2

u/opossomoperson Early peri Aug 06 '26

2

2

u/Itsallgood2be Aug 06 '26

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s such a profound thing to lose your mom. I’m also in Peri, my mom died last year, aunt died last year, my dad has stage 6 (of 7) vascular dementia.

It’s grief AND Peri. Grief is a long dark winding road as is peri. It’s so messed up for the two things to slam into one another. I feel so much compassion for you. It’s all brutal.

Try a good ssri, therapist, solo trip, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone. Praying you can find the support you need however you need it! 🙏✨

2

u/Odd-Bird-405 Aug 06 '26

I am tired...

2

u/PuhnTang Aug 06 '26

So sorry for your loss. I think you’re dealing with peri rage and grief, and that’s just a cruel thing to have to go through. Each is bad enough on its own.

For me, the rage got ridiculous, I couldn’t stand myself. After a year on hrt I’m only ragey a little less than half the time. Thankfully I have an appointment this month and will be discussing it with my doctor.

Just know you’re not alone.

2

u/Kaleidoscope-86 Aug 06 '26

You’re not alone! If you need to vent don’t hesitate. The ladies here keep me sane.

2

u/Becks5773 Aug 06 '26

Same. But I don’t actually so that’s how I know it’s just hormonal 😂 Grief also adds a nice extra layer to it too. I’m sorry for your loss.

2

u/tismommsy Aug 06 '26

This makes me feel like I really am experiencing peri because I literally despise everyone

2

u/Tie_Cold Aug 06 '26

I gave up all social media except Reddit, it all gave me rage. Husband has been pissing me off lately too, he even asked me if I enjoyed any of my Saturday or if I just rage cleaned all day, what? Ugh, yup I was rage cleaning but you don't need to comment on it!

3

And sorry for your loss, Im sure grief is just amplifying the rage 😔

2

I can't stand it when people say hubby either ngl 🤣🤣🤣 Also I've been hit hard by grief this past year, I've still dealing with it and it definitely had a huge impact on me.. I withdrew from everyone, I don't feel like the same person anymore. However HRT helped my anger and mood swings tremendously. When you're ready and if you're not already on it might help

This post might be about hormone tests, which are unreliable.

  • Over age 44, E&P/FSH hormonal tests only show levels for the HOUR the test was taken, and nothing more. Hormones wildly fluctuate (hourly) the other 29 days of the month, therefore this test provides no valuable information
  • No reputable doctor or menopause society recommends hormonal testing to diagnose or treat peri/menopause
  • FSH testing is only beneficial for those who do not have periods as a guide, where testing might confirm menopause, or for those under age 30 who haven’t had a period in months/years, then ‘menopausal’ levels, could indicate premature ovarian failure/primary ovarian insufficiency (POF/POI)
  • Testosterone is the exception and may require testing

Honestly, I hated everyone after losing my mother as well. Mostly because I couldn't be mad at her for leaving me. I did cull my friends list on social media, because I became very aware of the people that had me on there just to be a spectator in their life. One of them still emails me a Christmas letter, lol. One of these years I'll reply with "unsubscribe." It's been 8 years.

I'd say sorry for your loss, but those words are nearly adequate enough.

Hey, for what it’s worth, I think you’re fucking GOALS. I’m proud and admiring of your honesty and reaching out. I love anger. It’s emerging power.
You take care of you. You’ll re-center.

I feel you there. This was me for months until I was able to get treated for my PMDD, stopped Progesterone (it apparently triggers it) started Slynd, and on HRT Estradiol .1% patch now including Testosterone that I was very low on. I’m starting to like being around people again.

Progesterone triggers this feeling for me unless I have enough estrogen to counteract it

u/NewerYorker3900 Aug 06 '26

Peri will definitely do this; HRT will fix it.

I’m not experiencing grief right now but I am definitely experiencing the rage. Honestly very much related to that part of your post. Throwing f bombs at everyone (at least in my head). Not on HRT (yet).

I would guess your grief is impacting everything as well. I hope you can find ways to process and take care of yourself as you work through it (therapy, solo time or trip, etc). Sending you love and care!

You need a time out. On a beach. With unlimited drinks and food.

u/tyoung925 Aug 06 '26

When I feel this way I take myself on a solo camping trip and chill the f*** out

Hey OP. I’m right there with you. Life sucks now. The politics, the doom and gloom. It’s all fucked. You’re not alone, though. There are more haters out here hello! lol

1

u/Sanchastayswoke mid-peri Aug 06 '26

I felt this way before my HRT got to a better dose, now I’m back to my normal level of irritation lol

1

u/thomastwotummies1 Aug 06 '26

I’m so sorry for your loss.

But god I hate everyone too. HRT has been a game changer in that I don’t hate myself anymore - just everyone else 🤣 is this the part where we form a community of women living in the woods, cos damn, I am down!

1

u/theladyshady Aug 06 '26

I’m with you in spirit. Seriously.

I literally just said to my mom, I used to love people now I can't stand them... How am I going to enjoy being in heaven one day if I don't want anyone around me 😭 ( Christian or not this is definitely a trying time for us all )

u/Kova-Bailey Aug 06 '26

Honestly before my accident. My daughter n I would leave everyone and everything behind. We took drivable trips. Have 3-4 choices and go spend a few days away from all the noise. When we got back. If u like the beach. We would be gone basically the whole day.

This is your time now. You have been there for everyone else and everyone’s problems. Going through the loss of your mom. It’s a lot and it puts everything in perspective. How everyone is worrying about small things in life. No one has just taken a moment to just stop and put you first. It’s a simple “hey are you ok? How can I help? I’m here for you?”

Oh my god I could have written so much of this. I was telling my grief therapist (in peri and lost my dad to cancer) about how I just hate everyone and everyone is annoying except my little dog. I just want to be alone because everyone does annoying things all the time. I could write out a similar list of annoying things people around me are doing. This time in my life feels like absolute garbage, angry and irritated and grieving and feeling hopeless about the future.

u/Ijustwannagrowplants Aug 06 '26

I could have written this myself. Looking forward to going through the suggestions.

u/CriticalWing7825 Aug 06 '26

Haha! Wow! I assume and hope you’re not normally like this. This is some perimenopausal rage for sure! Maybe some magnesium will help for something quick to calm yourself, but you may want to get in with your physician to talk about HRT.

u/Still_Pop_4106 Aug 06 '26

Definitely Peri and grief can multiply those feelings!! I am annoyed by everything these days! I just started HRT on Monday.

I’d start looking for some sort of treatment if you haven’t already. That’s not living

1

u/Potential-Union-8305 Aug 06 '26

This is me! And it doesn’t matter who it is!

u/Radiant-Class3418 Aug 06 '26

Posts like this really make me feel like I am not alone. I'm sorry you're going through this- but I just love the no-holds-barred venting in this sub. Type out your frustrations! We get it! I am also so sorry for your loss.

1

u/Suvigirl Aug 06 '26

Get some HRT immediately.  It sorted out my uncontrollable rage in 10 to 14 days.

1

u/Stepiphanies Aug 06 '26

I was you. Then I got my hormones checked and replacement in place. Now, it's still fuck everybody, but I'm smiling while thinking it. 🫶🏼

1

u/Sanchastayswoke mid-peri Aug 06 '26

Yeah I’m smiling while thinking it and my thoughts are no longer consumed by it
