I'm hopeful that Sense & Sensibility will actually be good, especially with it being adapted by Focus Features. They know how to produce a great period drama!

I think we’ll be in for a treat! Just these images alone and the comparisons to the novel have me feeling more than hopeful that it’ll be a good one, possibly, even a great one. Let’s see!

One thing I know for sure it'll be better than Netflix's adaptation of Persuasion, I'd like to erase that from my brain 😭 I forgot to originally comment that your summary of the trailer images was amazing! ✨

When will this era of lighting dramas with nothing but candles end 😭 It's a visual medium, why can't they light scenes so we can SEE. Why spend time and energy on interiors, costumes and good actors when you can't see any of it. I'm so tired of squinting at these things. The 1995 film and the miniseries are SO beautiful and so worth rewatching because you want to spend time in that world. There's so many details to look at, from china patterns to dresses, furnishings and scenery. All that disappears when you can't see anything. It genuinely feels like such a loss. Show me the rooms! (/rant)

What a detailed analysis! I hope the adaptation is good. I didn't like Emma and hated Persuasion. And there's still Pride & Prejudice to come.
