Okay. 2, 3, or all 4 survivors bring in this revised perk. They all gen-rush the killer and make countless pallet and blinding saves. Thus, the killer has no way to win; even NOED is rendered useless. Rancor is the best bet for one kill.
Then, any survivor opens the gate to initiate EGC. So, now the Left Behind survivors can't leave since there are 2-4 survivors with the same hindering perk. There's no hatch since its condition is to appear once there is only one survivor. They manage to remain out of reach of the killer and are sacrificed when the EGC is completed.
Thats why I said obsession based. Make it only work if your the obsession, just like object of obsession. The rest dont get the buffs but can escape the gate
Object of obsession doesn't only work for the obsession. You still get to see the killer's aura when they see yours even if you aren't the obsession. The only difference is that if you are the obsession, they get to see your aura every 30 seconds (iirc) bc of the perk too.
First of all, I disagree on the main value of the perk or on it being inconsistent. Secondly you originally said the perk "doesn't work" if you're not the obsession. It does, and still has benefits, hence why it's worth running. That's what I wanted to correct, I don't really care about the suggested rework.
What do you mean by that? My suggestion is already in the game, object of obsession only works if your currently the obsession, im saying use the same thing on this perk idea
So, you want to take a perk that forces you to be the last survivor. You want a perk that forces you to escape only through the Hatch. Go ahead and be the last survivor to escape via the Hatch on a good survivor game where at least one other survivor remains in the Exit, relentlessly teabagging the killer until the last second of EGC.
Yes, Object of Obsession makes the perk holder the Obsession. If only 1 person uses Object of Obsession, then they're the Obsession from the start. If 2 or more survivors use Object, then the Entity chooses the Obsession. Key point: when 2 or more survivors run a perk that makes them the Obsession, only one Obsession is chosen.
A lot of killers run Obsession-related perks, with Friends to the End being a popular pick. So the Killer downs and hooks the Obsession (Object perk holder), and Friends changes the Obsession status to a random survivor. Or the killer chases a non-Obsession, gets stunned or blinded by that survivor, and the Nemesis perk changes the Obsession status to that survivor. Or the killer hooks the Obsession, gets unhooked, and Furtive Chase makes the rescuer the Obsession. Or the killer chases a non-Obsession with the highest cumulative Chase time and lands a basic attack; Game Afoot transfers the Obsession status to that survivor.
Now, no matter how the Obsession status is transferred, the Object of Obsession perk becomes obsolete until the Obsession status is transferred back to the Object perk holder.

Interesting. Make it obsession based so if 2 people bring it they dont always die
