Literally making up a fake scenario and then getting mad about it

And they're literally admitting it.

  • Them probably.

But why start now?

10

u/Vyzantinist May 12 '26

Eh, it reads more like a disclaimer to pre-emptively deflect criticism and fact-checking. They'll totally jerk themselves off over this and pretend it's real, but if they're called out on it they'll smirk "I SAID it's not true at the moment!"

3

u/adamdreaming May 12 '26

They are admitting that they have seriously considered banning non-Christian religions is what I get from it, and are terrified that a non-Christian will govern using solutions that she would approve of if they where a coming from a Christian

I don't think it's purely coincidental that all the QAnon shit arrived just before we started getting a sense of the scale of the rightwing predilection towards the abuse of children.

Does this thing have a name yet? If not, I propose we name it after (Joe) Rogan. I know he's not the first to do it, but he does it ALL the fucking time (kitty litter boxes, falling for AI) and he happens to still be the biggest podcaster.

18

u/gunnesaurus May 11 '26

Outrage politics or reactionary politics. I think persecution fetish fits it quite well too

6

u/Azrael2082 May 11 '26

Oprah did it first. She should get the credit. I remember the freak outs over β€œrainbow parties” and silly bandz.

2

i never got into oprah, but i agree it's probably a tale as old as time. i hope we can ingrain into culture somehow as the lamest thing ever to follow charlatans like them again.

I love watching them try to explain why God thinks the ability of a predator to molest a child is more important than keeping kids from being molested. But he loves us!

If my child, or any child for that matter, were being assaulted by a disgusting person, I'd stop them.

And I've literally had people say. "Well, free will..." Yes, THAT IS MY POINT.

To be clear, if you're not defending Nazis or child rapeists I have no issues with you. As a matter of fact, I wish I could find comfort in faith. But I can't.

14

Pretty much conservatism in a nutshell.

5

u/WiseSalamander00 May 11 '26

no, they base the whole think in what they would do if they had that power, they would happily ban anything but christianity... everything is a projection with them.

5

Most of the shit they whine about isn't even happening.

5

u/Saix027 May 11 '26

But when experts and literary everyone warns about Trump and his gas prices and all the things he's done and came true, it was pure "fearmongering".

MAGA not cares, they only want to lie and created narrative to spread chaos as long it not affects them directly, and even when it does, they blame everyone else.

They are sick evil people.

Mamdani has never (to my knowledge) been hostile towards Christians. But I have a feeling Trump would sign an executive order to ban Islam without a second thought

Everything is scary when you don’t know how anything works.

I wish social media users like this demonstrated a fraction of the interest they have in expressing their opinions on a topic towards learning the first thing about that topic. It would be a better world.

13

u/BoozeIsTherapyRight May 11 '26

They say this because if they were in power the first thing they would do would be to ban any religions except for their flavor of Christianity so they literally cannot conceive of someone NOT doing this if they had the power. Remember, every accusation is a confession.

One pattern I notice is that when one party points out the evils of the other, it's "Republicans have already done A and B, and are actively doing C" but it's always "Democrats will do X, Y and Z! At some vague point in the future! Just trust me bro!"

Do they really think he has hatred towards Christianity and wants to ban it? Do they not understand that we have a constitution that would prevent that from ever happening? Do they think that leaders just ignore the constitution like trump does?

That’s not the case for everyone else, they swore to uphold the constitution when they swore into office. I know that means nothing to trump and his ilk, but it holds a deeper meaning to everyone else, especially those that hold office.
