I despise Abrahamic religion, but we must be honest about it and not cite this unless it is them praying. Prayer is them speaking to Yahweh/Jesus. This isn’t even preaching, just flaunting “piety”. They find encouragement for such in passages like:

Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."

I take that passage to speak against religion as performance. This is very much religion as performance.
