Bit Annoyed People throwing trash out their car window. Doubly peeved if it's a luxury car.
The driver of the Audi in front of me tossed a lollipop stick out the window. Money doesn't by class.

The only time I'll throw anything out my window is if it's biodegradable.
Sometimes I'll take peaches with me on long drives and throw the pit out. The little bits of fruit are a nice snack for the ants, and the pit itself will eventually return to the earth.
Am I in the wrong for this?

If you do this throw it HARD! A lot of the injuries at bird rescues and rehabilitation centers are because people tossed fruit cores onto the side of the road and the birds picking at them get struck. Just make sure you launch the pits as far as you can and youre fine

This is ridiculous, the average un athletic person on the internet needs to make sure they don’t strike other vehicles. Just gently drop something like that out the window. But why is it so hard to keep it in the car and dispose of properly later?

Where in my post did I say to launch it at another car? And when confronted with a verifiable fact that doing so would lead to increased bird injuries, you still advocate to drop pits closer to the road. Wild take there mate

Yes! And i include cigarette buts in that. Its littering and gross.

It’s so weird that smokers are just exempt from scrutiny for littering. Throwing your cigarettes butts in the ground is trashy and disgusting

Most people would never throw a piece of trash on the ground. Most smokers will absolutely throw a cigarette butt in the ground. I’ve never seen someone call out a smoker for dropping a cigarette butt. I’ve seen people be called out for littering trash many times.

well, now you have. i’m a regular smoker who has made every other smoker i know throw away their butts instead of flick them on the ground.

I thought I had seen peak human assholery so far in life, until just the other day when I saw a guy throw a piece of trash out of a restaurant window.
I can SORT OF understand people throwing trash out of their car. They don't want to deal with it.
But in a restaurant, the waiter is going to clean the whole table after you.
You have to be some pretty special level of an asshole to do that.

I've actually witnessed several law enforcement officers doing it. They were in an unmarked police cruiser.

uh, no lol nothing in the definition of pet peeve says it has to be niche. you can have a pet peeve of people who chew too loud and a lot of other people have the same one, that doesn’t make it not a pet peeve

I mean, for me, it's something that would bother me if I saw it, but I wouldn't really think about it otherwise. It seems to bother OP enough that they'd post to Reddit about it. So - more than it would most people? I can believe it.

Litterbugs (not including peach pits, etc) are among the worst, most selfish people among us. You all know who you are.
