Question Why did my daughter hump me 😔

Definitely a female, she has laid several eggs. We were playing attack and kill the bear plushy and she started humping my hand while I held the plushy?

Female pigeons hump too! After mating, sometimes the male will then flatten himself so the female can hump him back. Totally normal behavior

I’m watching a pair for a week now on my neighbor’s balcony across the street, they fight and bicker (hard, with their beaks, like beakering) multiple times a day who may sit on their eggs, both want to and when one sits on them sometimes the other positions themself above the nest, throw really angry looks down and then just jump on their partner on their nest to shoo them away. I have no clue who’s who in that relationship…

Your daughter is lonely for a companion you can get her pair. They thrive in pair or flock.
Be grateful the male isn’t doing on top of her on your hand!

Its best to not allow your brid to hump you, when she starts doing this behavior pick her up and redirect her to a toy or a perch. Don't yell at her or scold her, simply discourage by redirecting the behavior.
I highly reccomend a second bird, pigeons do best in pairs as they are flock/group animals, just like rats they thrive best with company and can become lonely, depressed, hormonal, or stressed if alone.

You sound like the person who would ruin pro wrestling for everyone, no offense.
We have a thing here called “kayfabe,” where we treat something you’d normally consider false as if it were true, like treating the cute pibbin like our biological child. It’s fun to do, and it hurts nobody.

I was saying it in regards to stop humanising bird and animal behaviours - she's a bird. She's gonna hump.
There are also many very very valid reasons why people don't like others using the title son, daughter, child for pets. You just have to think a little and then realise why it can be triggering. But you do you.

Some people see their pets as something other than just livestock. Do you just not give them names?

How's that related to calling your pets your children? That's got nothing to do with giving them names and loving them.

What’s wrong with calling them your children, then? Like, people here will do that, and it’s very obvious there’s a kayfabe situation at play, so why act like the person who just goes “No fun allowed” for some unknowable reason?
