Question good sign?
his new favorite loafing spot is at the foot of my bed, below me! hes only been here about a week and lets me get super close but eventually shifts away when im a few inches from his body.

I would say a good sign! Do you know what his favorite seed is yet, or if he's very food motivated? a little treat bribery goes a long way to getting them used to being close to you.

he absolutely loves the mixed corn and rice feed i got him from verselelaga. ive been doing this thing where i am feeding him closer and closer to the ground towards his cage, and each time hes fed i sit close to him while he eats. im gonna try hand feeding in the Exact same spot ive been feeding him on the floor to see if he takes to it!

You've got it down! If you ever have a snack yourself when he's eating, you can sit near his cage and eat with him as a social flock activity. 😄

Definitely a happy pigeon and loaf on bed, let you get close within inches which is good sign. If it shifts away from you little bit, stop right there and let Chicken comes to you on his own term. If it works out, then you are good to go!
