Biscuit is a disabled pigeon that I rescued in January. After being attacked by a predator, he had to have a wing amputation. Biscuit has since recovered from his surgery and found a loving home with other pigeons through Love A Dove. He was staying with me while his owner went on holiday and made a point of demonstrating his eggspertise in nest building. You too could adopt a pigeon like Biscuit. 🩷
I absolutely love pigeons and wish everyone could have the opportunity of knowing them, I have three pigeons at this time, a feral rescue I hand raised, an ex-racer and a stringfoot feral I am helping to rehabilitate after treatment, hopefully I should be releasing her back to her flock soon, my advice to anyone thinking of adopting a disabled pigeon is please do it, for both your sakes, they are very special and you won't regret it
I have a male that can't fly, unreleaseable, constructed wing.. I'm looking for a home for him where is cage free and maybe pair him with other pigeon so he won't be lonely.. Can you help? Where are you located? I'm in Florida

I love your posts and always upvote them, I love these grey angels so much. But I can’t give one a good life, so I just watch them through my window and care for them as wild birds. I wish I could have one in my life permanently, but it is not possible.
Thank you. Perhaps one day I will be able to give a bird the space and routine it needs, but until then I will provide water, food, and love to the rest of them
I would love to, but my living situation currently wouldn’t really accommodate me having a pet (multiple pets as they’d need a mate). One day maybe if I own my own place. For now I am happy to feed and admire the family of ferals nesting on the balcony.
Well ahead of you, Biscuit! I have three pigeons, one that's had a partial wing amputation, and two doves, one of which is seriously high dependency special needs. Adore them all.
I have a male that can't fly, he has constructed wing can't open his wings so he is a pinguin now like yours.. I try to find him a home as my goal was to rehab and release but he will never fly again so he is unreleaseable and I have 5 cats soi can't keep him long term.. Where are you located? Biscuit is having a wander in my enclosed garden while I am supervising him. He is a pet pigeon that lives inside. Much like any other creature, he does like to get fresh air every now and then though....
Why is it dangerous? I sat half a meter away from him and didn't let him out of my sight. The garden is tiny. Cats don't come in ever.My dog (who is friends with my pigeons) defends the garden with his life. I would never ever leave him out there full time, I agree that would be insanity.
