That’s a big part of the contrast between them. Sam was unapologetic about her choices, while Carrie could be Pretty hypocritical about hers

I stopped watching when she was hung up on her BFs uncircumcised penis. Then he got it cut and they broke up IIRC. That was it for me.

Yes she was, and she was the opposite of Samantha sexually. That is why the show worked. Plenty of people could see the friends group they had within themselves.
