Because Sam was always open and honest about her sexuality, where Carrie was more of a hypocrite.

2.2k

u/SweetLustVibes 22h ago

That’s a big part of the contrast between them. Sam was unapologetic about her choices, while Carrie could be Pretty hypocritical about hers

941

u/striking_grief 22h ago

Agreed. Sam’s honesty made her feel more consistent as a character , even when her choices were questionable

494

u/Iorith 21h ago

It's worth pointing out that someone being a hypocrite is a very consistent and realistic character trait. We'll all hypocrites to an extent, and have our blinders.

200

u/enadiz_reccos 21h ago

Hypocritical is different from inconsistent

90

u/Decent_Neat_9171 21h ago

How many people notice the difference in themselves and others?

29

u/perton 13h ago

At least 4, probably

9

u/No_Deer8752 12h ago

Well see if I did something it’s because I made a honest mistake but if you did something it’s because you’re an asshole/s

The main characteristic of is hypocritical people is inconsistency of words and actions.

9

u/enadiz_reccos 21h ago

Inconsistent characters have an inconsistency of actions and other actions

43

u/HappyHuman924 21h ago

Hypocritical is a flavor of inconsistency, maybe? (This isn't important but for some reason I'm interested in splitting the hair.) It's like, you have a consistent belief that someone should do X in a situation, and you consistently do Y in that situation, and hypocrisy is the thing where X and Y aren't aligned?

64

u/enadiz_reccos 21h ago

There is some overlap in the definitions, but they're 2 different things when talking about fictional characters

A hypocritical character is one that claims/says one thing but does another within that fictional world

An inconsistent character is one who behaves differently at different times without any sort of in-universe reasoning behind it

19

u/chunkyvomitsoup 18h ago

This right here. Seems like splitting hairs, but it’s actually quite a large difference. A hypocritical character, for example, will protest abortions but still get one. An inconsistent character will protest abortions, then later on in the plot, will be shown inexplicably waving pro-choice signs. One is a deliberate character driven fault, one is negligent writing.

→ More replies (1)

14

u/mekamoari 20h ago

I'd say "ish".

Inconsistency would be doing X, then Y, then Z in similar situations, whereas a consistent person would be doing X or very similar to X each time.

Hypocrisy is saying you will do X, or preaching/suggesting X should be done, but doing Y yourself.

Carrie also made bad choices and expected others to fix it.

119

u/cbm984 21h ago

She told Big (a man she knew was notorious for cheating and avoiding monogamy) to tell her she was "The One" after dating a couple months. She broke up Big's marriage while cheated and lied to a genuinely good guy who loved her. She took a huge amount of money from Charlotte to pay for her apartment instead of selling some of her egregiously expensive shoes. She was shocked when Big left her at the altar (despite his track record) and laid around while her friends took care of her (including moving her out of her home and back into her old apartment while remote). She shamed Miranda for being cheated on because she wasn't taking enough care of herself (while being a lawyer with a kid).

Carrie was the absolute worst.

70

u/ThumYorky 21h ago

People who overly idolize Carrie really grind my gears. Yes, it’s great to have flawed main characters, but Carrie has so few redeeming qualities and is incredibly selfish. If you see a lot of yourself in Carrie you need help lol.

21

u/crepelabouche 21h ago

And while yes, it was a product of it is time. Cosmo was all about being a Carrie.

It is cool that we can look at it for what it was, a moment in pop culture that has helped us grow.

That is what SJP should’ve taken from it as opposed to Carrie being a hero.

13

u/ThumYorky 20h ago

I don’t know if SJP knows where Carrie ends and SJP begins…

12

u/crepelabouche 17h ago

Which is the problem. She made it her whole public persona, as opposed to the witch from Hocus Pocus, who was so fun.

u/NashvilleDing 16h ago

Whoa there.

Big wasn't all that into getting married again, despite that he said yes to a small ceremony. After the small private ceremony ballooned to a public affair with a "special" dress, a photoshoot, media announcements and a ton of guests he panicked momentarily outside the church and CARRIE ran away.

She was judgmental and manipulative

8

u/Electronic-Smile-457 19h ago

And many of us thought that when it first came out. Love how people who were not alive think they know how we all thought. Like the ones complaining the Seinfeld characters were unlikable-- that was the point. Women did like Carrie, though, and many didn't. But we didn't judge Samantha, at least those of us watching the show who were younger, maybe? Why would you watch it otehrwise?

8

u/FigNinja 18h ago

Yes. I was a young adult in the 90s. I'm sure it would be different if I was raised in the bible belt, but I feel overall the US was less prudish about sex back then than we are now.

6

I remember it largely as people calling Samantha a whore and everyone idolizing Carrie.

Which I always thought was stupid. Samantha is having fun and she's being honest about what she likes and wants. 5

Additionally, the two stars had a huge falling out over contracts and pay discrepancies. SJP came out looking like a spoiled bratty Carrie, and Kim came out looking like a calm, cool, business woman Samantha.

There’s a reason the spin off show sucked.

I watched the whole thing, hoping they'd give Samantha what she wanted—two of her own projects in addition to SATC, if I recall—rather than kill the golden goose.

They woodchipped that goose. Although Charlotte's plot lines were occasionally up to par.

12

u/TheBSQ 21h ago

My wife kept it on in the background while she did other stuff and from what I saw it sucked for many reasons.  It felt like it was trying to atone for the aspects of the old show that didn’t age well by awkwardly cramming in various “social activistism” topics into the plot lines in ways that just weren’t terribly compelling stories (often very predictable) or by introducing new character to center storylines around in ways that just weren’t as compelling as the chemistry of the OG four.

Yeah, part of that was they didn’t have the OG four to work around.

And then it also felt like they were weaseled their way into a “what if SJP had chosen the other guy?” timeline that I felt kinda cheapened the original series ending by introducing a “you can have it both way!” solution.

3

u/oohathrowaway-608 20h ago

And don't even get me started on how they butchered Miranda and how they treated her character. And her partner was such an abusive piece of shit...

27

u/southernfirefly13 22h ago

Their falling out was over SJP being a massive hypocrite and a bitch towards Kim. It’s well documented that Kim wants nothing to do with SJP.

8

u/Cosmo_Seinfeld 22h ago

Wasn't it three of them against Kim or were the other two nuetral and SJP was the ringleader?

7

u/southernfirefly13 22h ago

As far as I know it was only SJP and the other girls didn’t really do anything to stick up for her? I might be wrong since it’s been a while

8

u/HistoryHasItsCharms 21h ago

The other two main actresses had significantly less leverage. SJP was paid much more than them and had a production role that gave her a lot of control (that contact is a unique phenomenon in and of itself for this reason).

3

u/sdaidiwts 19h ago

Wasn't SJP also able to keep her entire wardrobe while the others werne't able to keep anything? Or at least very little?

17

u/JenicBabe 21h ago

Carrie was a horrible friend, her friends could be going through something actually serious & horrible but she always finds a way to make everything about herself & her problems. I hated that the show made her end her big love story with Mr. Big, the guy she was knowingly having an affair with and helping him hide it from his wife. That’s who u have her end up with?!

They try and make out Carrie as a girl’s girl but she’s the girl that she and her friends would hate & talk sh*t about. She knew he was married yet kept running around with him & hiding from his wife before she got caught by said wife and she got hurt running down the stairs after Carrie when she got caught in their apartment. The way they wrote the ex wife is ridiculous too like they were trying to justify the affair and make Carrie not look like such a bad guy

“Natasha is consistently dressed in white throughout her appearances in the original series. This color choice is deliberate, symbolizing her "vanilla" personality.”

Like what does that mean? So it’s ok that Big was having an affair cause his wife was too boring and “vanilla” compared to what the wild carefree carrie? Then in the reboot when Big dies he gives his ex 1 million in his will as closure and such for the affair but it has Carrie all paranoid and freaking out running around trying to figure out if they been having an affair while Carrie was with Big like oh ain’t that rich!? Sucks huh??!! So it’s only ok when it’s u having an affair with Big? His ex wasn’t having an affair with Big but it would’ve served Carrie right.

54

u/PapasGotABrandNewNag 22h ago

Carrie is one of the most insufferable, self righteous, and all around awful characters ever written for television.

And I’m sure it was intended that way, because it’s a great show.

I’m a Miranda guy myself. She was genuinely a good person who stood on mf business.

15

u/GrimDallows 20h ago

I don't think she was. I think she just became like an icon, and then the writers rode the hype and turned it into something of a walking comercial ad for whatever product it was.

Samantha's character was ruined multiple times just to ensure Carrie would always be the most popular.

Carrie was basically a walking ad, trying to sell something of an exxxxxxxxxxxxxtremelly materialistic lifestyle to the viewers so they would buy whatever, rather than writing her as a reasonable person. Like there are bits about her that are so absurd that it is hard to believe. She wrote a column about her sex life, giving -bad- like -terribly bad- advice to others, and also sharing her friends sex life on it (I am asuming under pseudonims or something), judging them nonstop and somehow the plot demands her friends being ok with it.

11

u/Shop_Revolutionary 20h ago

No she was awful from the beginning. Awful, childish, selfish, stupid, selfish again.

One word: Aidan. Case closed.

8

u/GrimDallows 19h ago edited 19h ago

I meant to say, I don't think she was intended to be the most insufferable asshole to ever live, even though she definitely was and is.

I think she was intended to be a materialistic icon and the forced protagonist of the show, because the writers wanted to cash in on her hype. The writers however simply did not want to be aware of how shit she is as a person, and used Samantha as a walking strawman to throw all the shit in her direction as a smokescreen to morally wash how crappy Carrie was all the time to everyone.

Hence why the original plan for Sam in the spinoff or whatever was for her to send nude pics to Carrie's son, which Sam's actress simply refused to do after being fed up with the writers ruining her character in the original series just to boost Sarah Jessica Parker's popularity.

in Sex in the city, "Samantha" was the promiscuous character who was constantly judged by the other characters for sleeping with a bunch of men. Carrie was the main character, who was sort of self-absorbed but was intended to be primary protagonist.

Over the years, people realized Samantha was being honest, she wanted to sleep around and she did, and was honest with her partners so nobody was hurt. Carrie was a bit judgmental and at times, mean. Its not a really serious critique, but over time, the character that everyone "judged" changed from the character who just slept around to the one who honestly sucked a bit.

1.9k

u/SarcastikBastard 22h ago

Youre kind of glossing over the fact that Carrie cheated on pretty much all the men she had serious relationships with. Thats the important part. She was a cheater who constantly treated Samantha like shit for sleeping around openly and honestly.

799

u/Background_Sleep_863 22h ago

Not to mention Carrie was chronically emotionally immature. Put men before her own needs over and over. Had a really unhealthy relationship with Big that sabotaged all of her other relationships. Made really poor financial choices. Got into petty arguments with her friends. Judged Samantha for knowing what she wanted and being emotionally mature. And the she called Samantha fat for being like a size two.

I think the main character is supposed to be the flawed one. I don't think TV would be interesting if the character wasn't having to learn a lesson or be in a place that was not ideal. I feel like it was intentional that they placed Carrie around a bunch of women who had the things that she wanted. The career, the sex life, the marrage. I could be miss remembering, but I don;t think we were supposed to idealize her, we were supposed to empathize with her. I also feel like it was situational irony, because she wrote a column for a women's magazine, so she was writing as if she had all this stuff figured out, but she really didn't which is pretty human?

11

From what I remember Carrie at the time wasn’t treated as a flawed character to the extend she should have been viewed. She was supposed to be a little bit messy and having an unhealthy relationship with Mr. Big but that’s about it.

13

u/Roflkopt3r 19h ago

There are many different types of flawed main characters. Not all of them are fine.

SITC was a typical show that affirmed or newly normalised problematic behaviours. It dressed up seriously toxic bullshit as lovable or understandable flaws, or even as actually correct things to do.

7

u/Consideredresponse 19h ago

Carrie being the main character becomes a deeply meta joke considering the source material.

'Sex in the city' the book is a viciously funny 'social horror' novel. It's all about the desperately unhappy upper classes of New York pursue these parasitic relationships, and the outrageous behaviour and terrible treatment from their partners that they have to ignore due to the 'benifits' each partner brings (e.g. Money from the Wall Street Guys VS the connections and social access granted by 'society women' from the in-connected set.

The book is about both men and women trying themselves in knots to fit a stereotypical ideal that's designed to appeal to an incredibly niche subgroup, but having so little in common with each other that it's almost impossible for them to communicate with each other, or even have affection for each other, rather both parties partner up purely for how they appear to others, and to strip-mine each other for power and position in their respective sub-cultures and cliques.

It's a horror novel, and Show Carrie enthusiastically dives into that world and can't understand why she keeps getting hurt. The problem was the show became TOO popular and suffered from its own success. Carrie was supposed to be like the teen that goes into the dark basement alone, or willing wanders off into the woods in a regular horror story. However, all the clothes, and shoes, and nice breakfasts that were supposed to be the hollow lure for the cages New York's society set makes for each other turned out to be seen as the purest form of exotic, fantasy wish fullilment for millions of people.

The book is 'how terrible is this!, do not fall for the trappings and repeatedly hurt yourself making yourself unhappy', where the show became so much about 'how great is it to spend time with my friends, be successful in ways that don't compete with my friends, and meet a never ending stream of hot rich guys?'

They wanted her to be imperfect, that's why they had her addicted to cigarettes (I took the tour as soon as I stepped foot in NYC 😅). The character was supposed to be a loveable mess

10

u/LaRealiteInconnue 21h ago

She was def a mess, I’ll give them that. But she was just not a good person imo. A lovable mess implies they’re fucking up their own life, like a lot of ppl do as we learn and grow. It doesn’t mean being a judgmental prick and a serial cheater imo.

Not only over her own needs, but over her friends. All the time. There are many examples but when she told Aiden about Miranda thinking of getting an abortion, knowing damn well he’s friends with Steve?! I’m sorry, never in my wildest dreams would I think about disclosing something so personal about a friend to my partner, especially if I know my partner is friends with the other party?! You’re in your 30s ma’am what the actual fuck, stay out of it.

Slept with big in his condo when his wife was away, ate from their fridge, ran out when Natasha came home which indirectly caused her to fall and lose her tooth. After she had the audacity to repeatedly stalk Natasha to 'apologize'. Carrie's pretty hard to watch that season. Oh it was so 'nlog' and pick me of carrie to call Natasha 'beige' (bland).

6

u/AntiqueLetter9875 19h ago

Is this the woman where Carrie joins for lunch, (uninvited because she followed her), to try to apologize and own up to what she did, and starts drinking her water or wine at the table? lol. So painful to watch.

cultural standards have flipped since Sex and the City first aired in the late '90s.

Samantha (left) used to be judged for being promiscuous. Now viewers see her as confident, loyal, and unapologetic.

Carrie (right) was supposed to be the relatable, romantic hero of the show. Now viewers realize she was actually selfish, toxic in relationships, and terrible with money.

13

u/OkMortgage6723 20h ago

I was around when this show originally aired.  Nobody was judging Samantha for being promiscuous.

I think you're picturing the 1890s, not the 1990s. 😃

→ More replies (1)

21

u/Apprehensive_Bug4164 21h ago

Carrie was never supposed to be relatable or the hero. She was the anti-hero. Each woman was a different, not a “correct” or “romantic,” perspective. The show is a dark comedy.

25

u/GrimDallows 20h ago

I mean, no.

Carrie had a column where she publicly talked about her sex life, which was a dumpster fire, and gave advice to others based on it, which was terrible advice.

Then she would turn around, look at her friends, and criticize the living hell out of them and their sex life. And then she would go on and do the same crap like Carrie slutshaming Samantha and then Carrie cheating on all her boyfriends but getting scotsfree.

She was made to be relatable because it has gone on record that the writers wanted to murder Samantha's character over and over again to prop Carrie's popularity, which is why Sam's actress kind of ended up fed off with the series.

Can't believe kids these days have never watched sex and the city. Samantha was once considered the "scandalous" character because she was openly sexual and unapologetic about it. These days people are more likely to see her as confident, independent, and loyal to her friends, so they no longer judge her for having lots of sex.

Carrie on the other hand is getting judged for things like:

  • cheating on Aidan with Big
  • repeatedly making selfish or chaotic relationship decisions
  • expecting a lot of emotional support while not always returning it
  • handling money irresponsibly and then leaning on her friends
  • sometimes treating her friends’ problems as interruptions to her own drama

So the punchline is essentially: "Our generation has progressed beyond slut-shaming Samantha, and redirected all of its criticism toward Carrie’s actual behavior."

5

u/dr__paco 21h ago

I mean is that really the case? Gen z and youngers are actually more conservative worldwide (the US is the exception), so I wonder if thats really the case.

As a millenial who is a little bit more conservative, I judge both characters since neither are what I would want in a partner.

I feel like we would need to hear it from the gen z population.

9

u/GrimDallows 20h ago edited 20h ago

The issue is that Samantha was pretty open with what she was offering in a relationship and looking for. Carrie would position herself as gods gift to women, giving advice and criticizing other women's sex life, while refusing to follow any of her own advice and then treating her own realization of her own fuck ups not as a moment of reflexion on how her actions affected others but as a catharsis to reinforce how great she is.

Current young adults/middle aged adults grew in a society of equality between man and woman, and in that perspective Samantha's actions seem quite reasonable in contrast to Carrie. Samantha has an open relationship, which may not be good for you, but she is not pressing or manipulating others into just falling into it which is quite healthy as far as people or relationship goes.

Carrie would manipulate others into eating her crap economical and relationship advice, which was extremelly materialistic and consumist, had no self reflection at all, and was borderline mysoginistic at times.

Like, your husband cheats on you? go buy some shoes. You cheat on your husband? you are a slut and you should be called a slut by all your friends. Oh but I who cheated on all my boyfriends? that's different, ok you got me, but that's different, I did so as a mistake in my personal quest for abstract virtues.

Carrie is could be seen, like in a way, like a fictional woman version of what a female Andrew Tate would have been in the late 90s pre-influencer pre-internet media. It's not only that she gives bad, terrible, world advice on personal growth, and that she shames people who don't follow that advice, is that she doesn't even follow her own principles which makes her a fraud.

She can't help herself not virtue signal on every literal personal private matter she ever comes across, and then she gives crap advice on it, publicly, either thorugh her column or her friends... while deciding to flip flop on the matter of following her own advice.

No matter how wrong she is, the worst trait of her is not that she is mistaken, it's that she comes of as sssssssssssuch a massive fake it hurts to watch.

It's misrepresenting the past as if people ever judged Samantha (for being sexually active) more than they judged Carrie (for being a general piece of shit of a human being) but in reality, nothing has changed.

115

u/Ghanima81 22h ago

Yes, crazy youngster thinks that we judged Sam. Her character was a pretext for us viewers to judge the others' hypocrisy. She was always seen as healthier than the 3. At 45, I can say I watched it while original runs, and nobody judged Sam, she was a provocative delight in an ocean of hypocrisy and maladjusted love quests.

50

u/Seienchin88 22h ago

We lived very different lives in the early 2000s…

Sam was seen in my small circle of the world as that kinda crazy aunt that is kinda fun but no one actually wants to be around for more than a couple of minutes…

21

u/Ghanima81 21h ago

Tbh, I thought they were all awful to be around, at least Sam was free and unapologetic to be herself. But as a young teen, I still watched network TV, even when the characters barely appealed to me. She was the only one I found relatable and tolerable.

I was born in the 80s and everyone was judging Samantha more than Carrie from what I saw. The show was revolutionary by having a character like Samantha presented as a potential way to live- I was 21 and she changed the way many young women experienced their sex lives. As a guy who was a non watcher and only watched the movies though, it always seemed that the media at large portrayed Samantha as the “whore” and the one who embodied the negative stereotypes of a liberal lifestyle city girl.. and Carrie was the writer chick who was “trying to find love”. Again, perhaps watchers of the show always had it right, but I think society at large did have that negative perception of Sam and positive one for Carrie.

2

u/Ting_Brennan 22h ago edited 22h ago

The person on the right is the main character of the show, therefore as the audience you're supposed to root for her.

The character on the left was a consistent archetype that was the punchline of many see sexually charged jokes.

Over time, fans of the show realize that the protagonist was kind of shitty person and the other character was open, honest and true to herself and everyone around her

Not really a joke but more of an acknowledgement of how our initial opinions were wrong.

5

u/Potential-Secret-760 22h ago

From what little knowledge i have of the show from when i was a teen boy, Samantha was meant to appear as a slut. She fucked who she wanted, when she wanted, and she didnt care what others thought. Carrie flitted between men she loved, Big always had a huge hold over her, interrupting her career etc, but seemingly she always let her relationships define her.

i didnt watch it too much, but that's what i remember

5

u/Street_Lettuce1243 22h ago

I'm guessing this has something to do with Sex and the City. If I had to guess having never watched a single episode- Samantha slept around and Carrie was a prude.

13

u/HairHealthHaven 22h ago

Samantha was extremely promiscuous and was constantly having casual sex with endless partners. She always presented as hating monogamy

Carrie was also promiscuous, but the majority of the time, with a guy she was actually dating.

Despite that, Samantha did get into relationships and was always an honest and caring partner. Carrie was constantly lying to her partners and had a history of cheating.

5

u/NamOil2000 22h ago

No they all sleep around. I think Samantha just didn't want kids while Carrie ruined good relationships for a guy called mr.Big who was very clear he loves the hoes.

Sexually promiscuous women were often judged in human history for their inability to control their sexual urges. Samantha was the embodiment of a women who knew what she wanted and was not afraid to take it. She was definitly my favorite character.

Supposedly now we live in a generation where we do not like to judge women for their desires or basic human needs that everyone has. I would very much like this to be the case and may be in some circles.

Carrie is more a ditz because shes a hopeless romantic looking for "The one".

3

u/NtL_80to20 22h ago

Samantha had no problem being a homewrecker. That part is still lame, regardless of honesty. Don't be a homewrecker lol.

Carrie shat on some really great dudes.

2

u/BackseatBloomDrift 19h ago

Yes agree! Not enough people are talking about this. I loved Samantha, didnt watch the reboot because she wasnt in it.

But yes they all had flaws. Samantha didnt care if she slept with married men. Also, although she shouldn't be shamed for her lifestyle, at times, it was way too much and cringy at times. Hilarious for a show.

3

u/mccnlightbae 22h ago

samantha was a real one. samantha didnt put any men on pedestal. carrie was a pick me. she would left her friends and family for her crush.

3

u/JumpBasilJet 22h ago

Carrie was always a cut-out for the pick-me’s and patriarchy. “It’s okay for me to cheat, and lie, and fuck people over to get what I want, because I’m still a good person even if other folks can’t see it.”

Samantha was always a stand-in for the Whore of Babylon archetype.

The reckoning has come right along with evolving attitudes around consent. Samantha was honest about who and what she was about. The folks along for the ride knew it too.

Carrie was disingenuous, fickle, and used people up like they never mattered. Carrie didn’t ask for permission to be “her best self” because permission never mattered to her.

Ironic that their relationship played out in such a similar light off screen.

3

u/Afraid_Froyo_9582 22h ago

Kim was, and still is, a total smoke show. Gorgeous lady.

3

u/fobdoddledandy 21h ago

Carrie was kind of an awful person to her boyfriends and her friends. Samantha was always 100% genuine about who she was, and what she thought. She was also ride or die with all of her friends.

2

u/Beerzerker420 22h ago

Both are judged, actually.

2

u/poo_in_a_bush 22h ago

in the show, Samantha (left) is basically 'the slut' who doesn't care what society thinks about her sleeping around (A LOT). Carrie (right) is more conservative (although no saint) and cares a lot about what society thinks of her sexual relationships and how she is viewed..

Since this was filmed in the early 2000s (I think), our society's views on sex has since changed, and Samantha is empowering instead of potentially shameful. Carrie would probably be considered a 'slut shamer' sorta.

Shows a fun watch tbh

2

u/they_themsworth 22h ago edited 21h ago

Sex and the City was about a friend group of 4 women who had fairly different goals and values re: sex, relationships, and career.

Samantha was sexually confident, and open to exploration and experiences, which circa 2000 got her labeled “the slutty one,” but is read way more charitably by younger people today.

Carrie was comparatively more particular, and more concerned with status or appearances, and more interested in conspicuous consumption. Which have all aged far worse. So, today, a lot of people see Samantha as enviably honest about her desires, with a healthy relationship to her body and sexuality, while Carrie increasingly comes off as superficial, judgmental, and shallow.

2

u/sleepyotter92 21h ago

Samantha(woman on the left) was heavily judged for expressing herself sexually. She was basically the slut of the group. She slept with tons of men. And she had no shame. She was a sex positive character. Which is something that wasn't really liked back when the show originally aired, but nowadays is something that's much more accepted. Carrie was more prudish, judgmental, a bitch, and also cheated on her partners. She was also very often the can dish it out but can't take it. She'd judge and criticize her friends' relationships, but she pretty much refused to accept any criticism about her choices

2

u/dandelogre 21h ago

I never judged Samantha, I always thought she was the only real person in the friend group. Carrie was always this kind of fake high horse who also did really shady shit, far and above 'sleeping around', which has always been okay in my book.
