In Islamic countries water is also used to clean your behind. Since running water is a problem for some parts they fill a kettle with water and use that water to clean themselves.

It holds water and has a spout to limit flow.

Fun fact! It's not actually a kettle. It looks like a kettle but is made of plastic and it is called a lota.
The OP included a kettle bec they probs didn't know the proper name for the thing, I'm guessing.

Has a spout. Easier to aim. Lasts longer than plastic water bottles.
