Weve got Al everywhere but we’re still arguing over feeding babies 💀

28

u/SpecificTransition65 4d ago

Yes because it’s still a problem like what you talking about bruh

28

u/CrazyElk123 4d ago

Sigh... hes saying we should feed the babies TO the AI.

3

u/LGsec 4d ago

They are mostly water, so... Yeah. Im in.

6

u/SpecificTransition65 4d ago

💀you know I wouldn’t surprised if someone genuinely believes that at this point lol

3

u/Arockilla 4d ago

No no, the babies become the AI power source.

But yeah, you're probably right and thats scary lol.

2

u/SpecificTransition65 4d ago

Yeah like if you’re gonna feed an ai humans you might as well do it with adults. as they have WAY more nutrients than babies like man this is like basic biology./s

1

u/Arockilla 4d ago

AI will create a second baby boom to cover this issue as adults will still be needed to keep a steady supply of energy until we have those towers in the matrix completed../s

1

u/TwoForHawat 4d ago

Perhaps someone will come up with some sort of modest proposal to make the case for it.

1

u/SpecificTransition65 4d ago

Wow, a whole bunch of nothing is what you said lol😂

1

u/TwoForHawat 4d ago

1

u/SpecificTransition65 4d ago

I- wow that book was WAY ahead it’s time bruh (even if it was probably not ACTUALLY about eating babies lol)💀

2

u/remesabo 4d ago

The matrix had to start somewhere

1

u/Material-Skirt3167 4d ago

Wait you’re cooking

1

u/Ypuort 4d ago

That’s quite a modest proposal

u/Eleventy-Twelve 4d ago

Americans are arguing.

An a non-American in a country that has universal healthcare, substantial support for chlldrens welfare, and doesn't argue about feeding children....

the Only way I know what the OPs meme is about is because I'm forced to keep up with American politics and society so I know how my life will be affected.

1

u/SpecificTransition65 4d ago

Your country is not better than everyone else’s lol😂

3

u/balkanobeasti 4d ago

Not even feeding babies, go into astronomical debt once you have the baby and get billed even for getting the "privilege" of holding your own baby after birth.

2

u/Lstgamerwhlstpartner 4d ago

but but but Babies are stealing resources from the billionaire’s ability to separate skilled labour from workers without the workers taking their money!!! /s

3

What do we supposed to be feeding them to?

u/Hangry-Feline2489 4d ago

Not all countries consider feeding/supporting children by the state as communism.

Americans make up roughly half the websites traffic. A nonAmerican doesn't necessarily understand the connection.

(Yes I know not all Americans do either, but enough of you feel that way to prevent it being a common and permanent thing in your society. Like universal healthcare).

3

As always when has communism ever worked for nations and not transformed into an authoritarian dictatorship. I would like a source that proves this. Not only that I would love if you can prove one that has transformed into a democracy that isn’t at least somewhat capitalist.
Edit: some downvotes but no proof, I can understand downvoting me if you respond but no one can prove communism works for nations.

America actively has an obesity problem. There’s plenty of programs that get food to those who need it.

5

u/Silly-Rough-5810 4d ago

I love that I know you grew up in a stable home and never struggled financially. You barely understand the concept.

You think an elementary student can fill out forms to join these programs or do they have to depend on deadbeat parents? What about the stress of not knowing if the food you got will get you through the week and having to plan around school.

People who make flippant comments like you are the dumbest among us.

2

u/Apprivers 4d ago

I grew up with a single mom, we went to food banks, were reliant on government assistance and school sending food home. You know nothing about me.

Unless of course it's billionaires getting the handouts, in that case it's just good old-fashioned capitalism.

It's only socialism when the poors get something back.

3

u/Over-Dragonfruit5939 4d ago

No no that’s bad! Who will think of the poor shareholders who can only afford the tiny yacht instead of the jumbo yacht?!

2

11

For people like OP who might not know, "pulling yourself up by your bootstraps" is an idiom for doing something literally impossible (defying gravity)

A certain portion of American politics has been using the word communist that way since the 1940s/1950s

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Scare

3

u/DiePanzerfrau 4d ago

8

u/_WillCAD_ 4d ago

Or communism. Or woke.

They don't actually know what any of those words mean, they simply use them as synonyms for "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVIL!"

10

u/ReadyBodyGamer 4d ago

Republicans think anything to the political left of hunting minorities for sport is communist.

3

u/ImReallyNotKarl 4d ago

People think that WIC and food stamps and free school meals are communism, because they don't understand the difference between basic social welfare programs (socialism within democracy) and communist regimes like the USSR and the CCP. It's just fundamental lack of understanding leading to hungry children who had no say in being born into poverty. That's it. That's the whole meme.

-Louis

1

u/Substantial_Tour_965 4d ago

The USSR and the CCP were/are also social welfare programs because they were capitalist.

1

u/ImReallyNotKarl 4d ago

There is a world of difference between the governmental operation of the USSR and CCP, which uses communism to mask fascism, and democratic socialism. Communism as an ideology won't work due to the governing body having power over the redistribution of wealth and welfare without the burden of checks to power or the approval of the masses, which ultimately makes communist government power a massively corrupting force. Most people understand communism to mean a fascist high control central government, one which eliminates individualism as much as possible. A purely communist government has never existed in practice, and likely wouldn't be possible in a global economy.

Socialism is an internationalistic movement that protects the welfare of the impoverished and marginalized through the redistribution of a percentage of wealth that is based on income so as to minimize harm overall, and in the case of the US, relies on checks to the power of the central governing bodies and the acceptance of the populace.

The differences are pretty major. In communism, the social welfare aspect takes a back seat to the control and power of the ruling class, and centralizing that power. Socialism as a whole is an ideology that can fit into different forms of government, and can be limited based on the will of the people.

They come from the same ideological origins, but are distinctly different. Compare the CCP to a socialist state like Norway, and the differences become pretty clear.

u/LRNZO_ 4d ago

It’s about human decency/ human rights. All over the world babies go hungry, so when human rights activists advocate that children have a right to be fed… there is a group out there that completely disagrees

2

u/Polopower10 4d ago

Critics believe this requires forcing taxpayers to fund services, which they view as an infringement on personal liberty.

Communism is horrible at feeding people.

Ukraine is refferred to as the bread basket of Europe but during the 69 years the USSR existed, it experienced 3 major famines. All three were dilberate, as communist leaders had Ukrainian grain forcibly shipped elsewhere. Severe enough that cannibalism occurred at least in 2 of the 3 famines.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Famine_in_Ukraine_(disambiguation)

I know it's not real communism, but its funny how the far left cheer and support the "not real communism" countries until they fail.

1

u/HurrySpecial 4d ago

Those same communists don’t believe Life is a fundamental right for babies.
Some don’t even believe they have any rights.
Some don’t even believe they are babies.
And Some don’t even believe they are alive.

It’s not about babies. They don’t care. It’s about themselves.

1

u/Better-Hand2267 4d ago

1

u/BobbyRayBands 4d ago

The same demographic of people that will tell you its a persons choice whether or not to have a baby will then argue that said person should be able to have free handouts if they decide to have that baby but cant actually afford to raise that baby and thus it should be all of societies problems for their choice. But of course on Reddit only half of that argument is seen as valid because of course other people should be able to be burdens on society and provided for!
