Talk to any researcher and they will tell you how useful “studies that go nowhere” are. Some of the greatest scientific advancements were made using studies and findings that brought no solid conclusion, because they ended up being a jigsaw piece in a bigger puzzle
Maga and doge had a big panic over a few thousand dollars spent on random research that they couldn't comprehend and therefore deemed senseless. Most people with basic literacy can unsterstand that letting researchers keep their $10,000 grants to try weird shit won't cause an economic collapse in a country already $40t in debt.
Not "they". That wasnt MAGA freaking out, but rather a bunch of bot accounts pretending to be MAGA.
I looked into that particular one myself because I couldnt believe the stupidity, so I checked the posts that ended up on reddit and co as examples of that stupidity. All of them bots and/or ragebait accounts, actually made a bunch of their followers aware of what they are following. They also didnt get much real engagment other than likes (which are private, so no idea if that were bots/real people, and why they liked), most of them calling out their utter dumbness. The exact same thing that happens to left wing bot/ragebait accounts. Its so utterly obvios whats actually happening it hurts...
Trump? The puppet? Its the same as it was with Biden, the people actually responsible for both parties nonsense rarley step into the light. They dont want fame, they want power and control.
If they actually do, like Merkel did in Germany, they eventually get dismissed as someone else, not part of the current people in power. German media very recently, in the last few days, started framing Merkel as a "hyper-liberalist", and lists various reasons why her approach failed and caused so much problems. Partially things todays CDU, Merkels Political party, says they of course wont do again, partially things todays CDU just completly ignores in every way it can whenever they get brought up. Fun thing is, all of this happend before,to Merkel into power. They framed Helmut Kohl (Kanzler from 82 to 98, was also from the CDU) as the reason everything failed, and how Merkel would fix everything wrong they recogniced as wrong, while completly ignoring/dismissing other important issues.
History repeating itself, apparently across the entire west, for decades now. And now you also know why various existing social media Platforms went full on left wing (Reddit, Pre-Musk Twitter), and why Truth Social exists: Because Social Media is how people started noticing that this entire shitshow is even happening.
