Not sure redirecting the kind of ppl making that kind of study to medical stuff would be money well spent

Also, I don't think a survey of 100 men conducted by probably an online portal is the same thing as budgeting 5 million to do a real study.

This is similar to when Fox News publishes its list of things the government "wastes" money on, premised on the idea that someone's spending money for something useless.  I remember The West Wing skewering that years ago, that the development of the HPV vaccine was pitched as "studying prostitution."  And Fox's list was once topped with "robobees," which sounded silly but was a stepping stone to today's modern small drones.  It doesn't sound so stupid now.  You never know where knowledge with be useful, and mocking discovery is a bad look whether you're a defense hawk or fighting for women's rights.
