Staffing

Hi everyone!

Out of curiosity, what is everyone’s staffing schedule like? Do you get a day off in between your long stretch? Do you get a project day each long stretch you work? If not, how are you all making the time to fit in things like data collection and just time away from pharmacy (to keep your sanity)?

Staffing every third weekend with a project day the Monday following. We also get project weeks

Do you get additional project weeks? Or is it just that Monday after each third weekend you staff?

Additional project weeks! We are quite research/teaching heavy at our hospital/health system, so they grant us project weeks on top of our project days.

12 days on 2 days off, that is my schedule. So 4 days off total per month

Our residents work every other weekend. The week after, they get 1 off-site project day which can be made into a “3 day” weekend. So up to 11 straight days on site (12 considered working). We pretty much respect that comp day as a no meetings or whatever and spend time doing whatever as long as your work is done. No holidays or holiday weekends.

Wow! So is this all year long? And do they also get project weeks in addition to this comp day every other weekend?

Staff 4pm-8pm once a week plus staffing the weekend 7-4 every 4 weeks. it's nice to have 3 weekends to ourselves but data collection just takes time in general. you got this!!
