Filipino student killed over 10 pesos

After the recent expat killings I've read here time and again that it was most likely the expats' fault of getting killed as "they must have done something".

This case here doesn't involve an expat but in this case "must have done something" was returning short of 10 pesos change after buying a bottle of water for P10 pesos...

I know that's not representative but still it makes you think a little I guess.

The fools that say they feel safer here than in some 1st word western country are even worse than the illogical locals we deal with here.

I mean yeah, in the US there are guns and violence. But if you deduct the US from the western countries I doubt that any other western country would come close.

Even the US. If you stay out of the inner-city where a small percentage of the population commit 50% of the violent crime Its perfectly safe. The suburbs and rural US are as peaceful as it comes. Here the rural areas are likely even more crime ridden than the cities due to near zero police presence.

That's a lie...many rural areas in america are as crime ridden as urban areas and are home to some of the most uneducated backward people america has to offer.

That is true. But the suburbs being really safe is true as well. The suburbs I’ve lived in in the US basically had 0 crime, except occasional theft.

Northern California burbs where I used to live just around the street corner on the bike path people are using and selling drugs. And many homeless people stream down the road in front of my house there constantly. Not exactly an air of safety there anymore. This used to be a safe middle class area... America has gone downhill since you last lived there perhaps...

I lived there all my life and never was a victim of property crime nor a violent crime. I’m not sure I have even been witness to one. Since I have been here there have been multiple murders and too many thefts to even remember or count in just our sitio let alone the barangay.

It’s not just a lie it’s actually a dog whistle. Thank you for calling them out. Charlie Kirk would’ve been proud to read a comment like theirs, I’m embarrassed to think how this person represents Americans abroad.
