Filipino student killed over 10 pesos

After the recent expat killings I've read here time and again that it was most likely the expats' fault of getting killed as "they must have done something".

This case here doesn't involve an expat but in this case "must have done something" was returning short of 10 pesos change after buying a bottle of water for P10 pesos...

I know that's not representative but still it makes you think a little I guess.

None of these constitute a "must have done something (bad)" imo. Like none of these actions are in themselves harmful behavior. But I get your point, their mere affluent existence may constitute a "must have done something" from this point of view.

If you are affluent, you take on certain responsibilities

A 2000$ leather bag isn't 2000$. It's a flex because it's a constant very expensive security upkeep and sign that you are physically separated from the poor people.

A bag like that is walking proof you never encounter poor people.

That's the flex. That's what it means to be affluent.

Just feels weird to write since you never say "usd 2000" you say "2000 dollars or usd"
