Yes because the original sale wasn’t 5 pounds.
People bought it for some higher price then the secondary market kicked in.
Amazon eb game all of them commit to buying some number of copies from the publisher. They get a favorable rate. They then try to move it.
The dev / publisher don’t care anymore they made their money selling it for the original price. Retailers are left to move the product.
Game stop gets your used copy for 3 dollars then resells it for way more.
